Dahyun and Jeongyeon are having lunch together. Jimin and the rest of the top ten students were called for a conference.

"Why can't it be all of us in Class A? Why is it only the top ten?" Jeongyeon angrily opened her lunch box.

"Maybe the slots are limited. Jimin said the venue is really small to fit 20 people," Dahyun told her, checking if Jimin has texted her again. He's been texting her nonstop ever since they were called up for the conference.

"I'm sure that you'll be on the top 5 this upcoming semester," Jeongyeon confidently told her.

"What? How can you say so?" she asked, not really interested to be on top.

"You're obviously leading the class now. I'm sure the top 10 list will change because of you," Jeongyeon pointed out. "Of course, I'm gonna keep up with your phase too. I'm kinda motivated to study harder now because of you," she smiled at her. "I've been wanting to have a friend like you. You love to study in a not so competitive way. I like that trait of yours."

Dahyun can't help but feel flattered for what she said. "Thanks but really, I'm not after the top spot. I only want to enjoy studying," she said.

Dahyun has been continously having high grades and been seriously active on every classes, because she enjoys what she is doing. She feels excited everyday to go to school and whenever the lecture is really interesting. Their teachers can't help but praise her. They're so impressed with her intellectual skills and reasoning.

"I won't be surprised if you'll take the top spot this semester," Jeongyeon said. "You deserved it more than Minhee." She took a spoonful of rice and dance a bit as she savors her food.

"She's good too, you know," Dahyun pointed out. It's true, Minhee is actually good in debate and stuffs. "But seriously, I'm not trying to compete with her. I just want to graduate and enjoy my high school life before I go back to Daegu," she said, taking a bite of her food. She suddenly felt sad for what she said. But that's her plan. After graduation, she'll go back home. Back to her family. Back to her life.

Jeongyeon noticed her sudden dull mood. "Hey, plans can still change," she told her. "Lots of things will still happen."

No, Dahyun has already decided. She already did a huge mistake by running away from home. She should learn to face the consequences of her action.

"Let's talk about other things," Jeongyeon changed the topic to brighten up the atmosphere. "So, you got a new phone huh?" she said, eyeing her new phone. "Wanna ask for my number?" she playfully asked, wiggling her eyebrows.

Dahyun can't help but laugh at her. "Yeah, I should probably add you to my contact list," she said.

"Why? Who's on your list?" Jeongyeon asked.

"Only Jimin," Dahyun said. Her phone ting-ed again, signalling that she received a message.

Jeongyeon made a face. "No wonder your phone has been blasting since we enter the cafeteria," she said. "Can you please tell your boyfriend to text you later? How are you supposed to finish your food if he keeps on texting? Aish, I hate boys," she nagged.

"It's fine, though," Dahyun said, composing a reply to Jimin. "He's the one who bought this for me. I might as well pay him back by replying to his messages. And may I remind you again that he's not my boyfriend," she added.

"Minhee is probably taking a peek of his phone screen and silently gritting her teeth as she reads your phone conversation," Jeongyeon said, smirking.

"Reading other people's text conversation is rude," Dahyun said.

"Well, Minhee is rude," Jeongyeon blurted out.
