War & Pizza: Part 2

Aria's POV:

April walks to stand onstage while Donnie & I stay backstage, Donnie grasping the control box in his hand.

April: "You ready, D?"

He nods with his hand wrapped around a switch in preparation for the curtain call.

Donnie: "Yep."

I pull the rope for the curtain to reveal the new & improved animatronic bear.

Albearto: "Bon giorno, kiddies!"

Little Girl: "Is he gonna break again?"

Me: "Not on our watch."

April & I share a look as we speak simultaneously.

April & I: "Again."

Albearto: "Hold onto your birthday hats, kiddies. Whoa!"

The band then starts playing hard rock music, moving around like rock stars at a concert.

Donnie: "And now, for a little guitar solo. You're welcome."

He then presses a button to make Albearto rock out on his guitar.

Albearto: "Check me out, I'm shredding this guitar like it's mozzarella."

Me: "Looking good, babe."

He smiles before we notice Albearto starting to malfunction, again.

Donnie: "Uh, hold on. No, no, no, no. He should not be glitching. He should be rocking and/or rolling."

I can't understand why this was happening. Donnie fixed, reassembled, and rewired everything. Unless...

Me: "Donnie, you remembered to change the battery, right?"

His eyes widen in realization. That's not good.

Donnie: "Oh, I knew I forgot to change something. April, I can't stop him!"

Albearto then starts flying all over the stage, throwing his guitar into the air. The guitar flies through the air before piercing an overhead light box. The light box jolts electricity down to flow throughout Albearto's body before he shuts down. The kids stare at the sight, their arms still up in the air from the previous performance.

We also stare, April gritting her teeth from nerves, Donnie & I with nervous smiles hoping she isn't too mad or stressed out from the situation. I placed my hand on Donnie's shoulder to reassure him that this wasn't his fault. He was caught up on working Albearto's circuitry. Forgetting a battery is a mistake anyone could make.

Donnie: "Ta-da?"

I slide out onto the stage to make sure the kids aren't scared.

Me: "Ok, so that happened. But take it easy, we can still give Timmy the 'Happy Birthday' song. Happy birthday to you..."

Before I can continue the song, Albearto springs to life behind me in a zombie-like manner.

Albearto: "Hey diddily ho, kiddies. Time to pump this party up. Let's play!"

Kids start to scream in fear as he tries to walk towards them.

Me: "Not so fast, Bear Bot."

I turn to block his path with a determined look & my kunais in hand. I turn to face Donnie & April to see that the control box is now broken, April facepalming in annoyance.

Me: "April, you take care of the kids. Me, Donnie, & the others will deal with Yogi Bear over here."

April nods as she runs to the kids, and tosses me a pizza platter. I swing it in the air to slice off Albearto's arms as he lunges to grab Timmy.

Me: "Play nice, Albearto."

Albearto raised his arms into the air as claws begin to appear on his hands.

Albearto: "Whoopsie, thanks for the claws, Aria."

Me: "He knows my name?!"

Albearto: "These are way better to open gifts with."

He then slices up Timmy's birthday gifts yelling & grunting, while I turn to talk to the kids.

Me: "Who wants to play a little game of follow the leaders to safety? "

April nods as we lead the kids out the door. Wait, where's Timmy? Huh, must've left already. Albearto leaps over to us, his fist raised to strike us. Lucky for us, Raph hits him with his tonfā.

Raph: "Knuckle sandwich!"

Leo & Donnie leap to stand before each of us in defensive stances. Donnie was standing before me & Leo did the same for April, each of them sending Albearto a menacing glare. Albearto flies through the air before crashing into a table. He immediately stands up again.

Albearto: "Bon giorno, kiddies!"

Raph: "We'll fix this, April. He may have the crazy, but we got the numbers. Go ahead and bounce if you need to."

Albearto: "Don't leave. I haven't handed out the party invitations yet."

Power chords snake out of Albearto's mouth, shoot across the room, and connect with Cherry Tomato & President Pepperoni.

Donnie: "Uh, he's bringing the robots to life."

He's right. As the chords retract back into Albearto, both of his bandmates spring to his side.

Raph: "No sweat, we still got this."

Albearto's head spins around to connect the chords to the 'Whack-A-Vole' game. The voles then spring to life & leap out of the game to stand alongside the other animatronics. We frowned for a brief moment in slight panic as Raph turns to April with a nervous smile.

Raph: "Uh, you didn't have plans right now, did you, April?"

April stood before us with a confident smile.

April: "Oh I'm staying. I am a Party Captain and I am saving Timmy's party from disaster."

We all hear a scream as we turn to see Timmy crouched on the ground in fear as the voles stalk towards him.

April: "Right after I save Timmy."

Me: "Right behind you."

She run to him as I follow suite, while the guys leap towards the other animatronics in preparation for battle. They then say my catchphrase aloud.

Turtles: "It's ninja time!"

I laugh as I glance at them with a smirk.

Me: "Hey, that's my line."
