{A/N: Photo above is what their homemade paper store looks like}
Aria's POV:
My brothers and I have a plan to stop our opponents once and for all. We begin to gather up supplies, and start the construction of our fake paper store. The plan is to attract the Foot guys, catch them in the act, and take them to the police station so they can face the consequences for their crimes. Why I let Leo put his name in the title, I will never understand. Moment of weakness, I guess.
Once that's settled, we sneak into a salami factory, slice each roll into slices, stack those slices atop one another, and pawn it off as paper. Yet, once again, some of us have premonitions against the details, structure, and stability of this plan.
Donnie: "Do you two really think this is gonna hook the thieves? The only paper we have is made from salami which is round. Paper is not round."
Me: "Trust me, D, everything will work out the way it's supposed to."
Leo: "As vague as that was, Ria's right."
We then turn to discover Raph eating the salami paper, causing the three of us to scold him the way a parent would their child.
Leo, Donnie, & I: "Raph, stop eating the plan!"
Raph just turns to us, growled, and continues to eat the slice he's already bitten into.
Me: "Fine, one more slice Raphael, but then that's it!"
Raph nods in agreement as he eats another slice. We then hear the door to the store's entrance open. We turn to find a smiling April, who's supposedly here for the job interview Donnie sent out applications for.
April: "Hi, I'm here for the job interview...Aw, no."
She stops in her tracks & drops her smile as she looks up from the paper in her hand to see the guys in their human disguises. I'd rather not hide behind a mask, figuratively speaking, so I'm wearing my signature ninja suit.
April: "Man, I thought it was weird to have a job interview at midnight."
Me: "Sorry to trick you like this, O'Neil. The truth is, we're after these paper thieves, and needed a way for them to fall into our trap. So, I asked Donnie to post applications for a job interview, and we all built this paper store. Think you can help us out?"
She gives me a smile and a nod, grateful for my honesty. My smile widens as I hand her a script of what to say to whoever came in.
Me: "Great! Just read from this paper to anyone who comes in. If anything happens, the boys and I will be hiding behind the counter."
We all suddenly shift our gazes to the front door before my brothers and I leap to our hiding place, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
April: "Welcome to Leo's Paper Hut. Can I interest you in our-mmm?!"
Mikey: "What is 'mmm'? She's supposed to say paper."
Me: "Guys, it's the Foot brutes!"
We all stand from behind the counter to find all of the salami paper gone, and April tied up and suspended from the ceiling. I throw one of my kunais at the rope around her feet, and another at the rope around her waist, causing her to fall from the ceiling and into Leo's arms. The two of them then blush as she mutters her thanks. To which, Leo responds with a small 'no problem'. I smirk as they both catch my gaze and separately give me looks of annoyance. Being the good sister/secret keeper I am, I give them the 'lipper zipper' to reassure them. This works like a charm as they both give me grateful smiles before the three of us turn towards the entryway of the store. We then hear the sound of a van speeding away from us, and into the street.
Me: "Ugh! You have got to be kidding me!"
Leo: "I know, this was supposed to be easy!"
Donnie: "Come on guys, do you really think I would have let you make salami paper without putting a tracer in it?"
Donnie then presses a button on his staff, as a beeping noise comes from within Raph's stomach as we can faintly see a red blinking through his shell. I then facepalm at the ridiculousness of the situation.
Me: "I warned you, Raph."
Donnie: "It's ok. I put two."
I sigh in relief with a grateful smile towards Donnie as we follow the second tracer's signal to an abandoned shipyard. We're a safe distance from the Foot guys to the point where our position won't be given away.
Leo: "Ok, guys, this is our moment."
Me: "Yeah, they may have given us the slip before."
Mikey: "Twice before."
I feel a twinge of disappointment in my heart at his words. I know he didn't mean anything by it, but it still hurts to be reminded that I have yet to avenge my original family. Luckily, Leo comes to my rescue as he continues from both of our previous statements.
Leo: "Thank you, Mikey. Twice before, but now we've got them cornered and there's nothing that can stop us."
I give him a grateful nod, which he returns with a reassuring smile. Do I have the best brothers, or what?
Plus, Leo's right. Now is my chance, for real this time. As long as I have these knuckleheads by my side, I'm prepared for whatever is about to happen. Look out, Foot Clan! Aria's back, and ready to kick some shell!!!
