Shreddy or Not: Part 2

Aria's POV:

A few minutes later, Donnie approaches Karai's chair from behind and fakes a sneeze to get her to awaken.

Donnie: "Oh, I'm so sorry. Did I wake you? Well, now that you're up, may I interest you in a full tea service?"

Shelldon flies in with a tray of tea on his back as Karai stares in amazement.

Karai: "What dark magic is this?"

Donnie: "Not magic. It's my tech."

Shelldon pours tea into a cup as Karai accepts it.

Karai: "Oh, brilliant."

Donnie: "Yes, the approval of a parental figure I've so craved."

Leo crashes into the room on top of Donnie.

Leo: "Hey, Gram-Gram needs her sleep. And to help her, I shall read from my children's book, 'I Love Gram-Gram & Gram-Gram loves me."

Donnie yanks Leo away from Karai with his spider shell's robotic arm as Raph approaches her while doing a handstand on just one arm.

Raph: "Oh, hey, Gram-Gram. 'How can a big guy be so nimble?', you ask? Classic Hamato dedication."

Leo & Donnie argue with Raph as Mikey approaches Karai with a drawing.

Mikey: "Hey Gram-Gram, I painted a family portrait. I think it really captures our togetherness as a family."

Karai bears a warm smile as Splinter shoos the turtles away.

Splinter: "Boys, what are you doing? My apologies Gram-Gram. I am so sorry I never taught my sons traditional Hamato discipline."

Karai: "But you have taught them many other things, like the importance of family. From where I sit Yoshi, you have made the clan proud."

Splinter: "Thank you. So you think we have a chance against the Shredder?"

Karai: "Yes, with Hamato Ninpo, our family's ancient technique that connects us to past generations."

Karai summons magic as a mystic glow brings forth the spirits of the Hamato Clan's ancestors.

Karai: "It gave me the strength to defeat Shredder all those years ago. As long as there are Hamato, there is hope."

Karai groans in pain as the magic fades away.

Raph: "Can you teach us how to tap into this inner power?"

Karai: "Yes, let us begin.-*groans*-He has found me."

Suddenly, the roof caves in as Shredder stands before us alongside the Foot Clan.

Shredder: "Karai, I could sense you were here. Now I will consume your Hamato essence and become truly invincible.-*to the Foot*-Crush anyone who gets in my way."

Foot Lieutenant: "Attack!"

Raph: "Protect Gram-Gram! She's our only chance to defeat Shredder!"

Leo: "Gram-Gram, we gotta get you out of here."

Shredder lunges toward Leo & Karai, but Mikey & I hold him back with my vines and his kusari-fundo as Leo portals himself & Karai somewhere safe.

Shredder: "You demand the Shredder's attention."

Shredder growls as he breaks free of the chains and vines, sending Raph & Donnie into the wall and breaking Mikey's kusari-fundo. I stand defensively in front of Mikey as he falls to the ground.

Shredder: "You have it."

When Leo portals back to help us, the lair is engulfed in flames and rubble. When Shredder approaches Leo, he tries to portal away, but he comes out the other end, a mere inch away from where he once was, as Shredder grabs hold of his sword's blade.

Shredder: "Enough of that! No more escape."

Shredder breaks the blade off its handle and grabs Leo by the head until Raph uses his Power Smash Jitsu to send Leo away from him. Raph fights Shredder one-on-one in the arcade and shoves him through the wall into the kitchen. Shredder retorts by slamming Raph's head into the pots and pans before leaping off to find Karai. Thankfully, before Shredder can get to Karai, Raph shoves him out of the lab and into the center of the lair. Shredder rips away the Power Smash Jitsu, but Raph holds him off with tonfas until Shredder breaks them with his jaw. Before Shredder can attack Raph again, Karai swoops in to save him, her body now surrounded by the glow of Hamato Ninpo.

Karai: "Get away from my family."

Shredder extends claw-like appendages to attack her, but she transforms Donnie's titanium statue into a blade and stabs Shredder in the shoulder with it.

Raph: "She's tapping into her Ninpo thing."

Karai uses Ninpo to attack Shredder with various objects but to no avail.

Shredder: "The Twilight Realm has made you weak. But it has made me strong."

Shredder holds Karai above the ground by her hair.

Shredder: "You have failed! And now your power will be mine!"

Karai: "If my power is what you seek, then have it!"

Karai slams her hand into Shredder's chest, blowing his armor away, but then hesitates, giving Shredder a chance to blast her onto the ground as she looks towards us with tears.

Karai: "Anata wa hitori ja nai."

Leo: "Gram-Gram!"

Leo lunges toward Karai, but Raph holds him back.

Raph: "No! The Hamato must live on."

We rush out of the living room as the support beams fall to pieces behind us. We enter the garage to find Dad, Splinter & Todd having tied up the Foot Clan.

Me: "Everybody in the tank!"

Splinter: "What happened to Karai?"

Raph looks Splinter in the eye, causing him to kneel as his eyes widen in shock. Suddenly, Shredder bursts in through the wall.

Splinter: "Draxum, the kids, they must escape!"

Dad nods as he and Splinter turn to face us.

Dad: "Get out of here!"

Splinter: "We will buy you time!"

Raph: "We're not leaving without you two!"

Splinter: "Raphael, as long as there is Hamato, there is hope."

Me: "Dad, don't do this. I can help, and I have the same magic as you."

Dad: "I've already lost your mother. I won't lose you too."

Me: "I won't risk losing you again!"

Dad: "I am always with you, my daughter."

When I make another attempt to join them, Dad turns to someone behind me.

Dad: "Get her out of here!"

Donnie pulls me into the tank and wraps his arms around me tightly as I bite back tears while Raph & Leo do the same for Mikey.
