The day had finally come and (y/n) now was counting down the days that he would be able to go back to Hogwarts. He was very bored, after all, the only exciting thing to happen to him over the summer were countless of owls from his friends and visits from not only the Malfoys but by the Parkinson's and Zabini's as well.  Apart from that his summer had been boring so far. "Dear, come down we need to have a talk." Elysium hadn't spoken to her son about 'He who shall not be named' since before he had started school the previous year.

However, since then there has been signs that he would return soon and she was scared that her son would be targeted and soon labeled as a Death Eater. It never mattered the age, and since (y/n) was blood he had the largest chance out of the whole of Slytherin to be the first one. She had to make sure that there was absolutely no contact between them. She was aware of how badly her son wanted to meet his Uncle. It was times like this that she second guessed her marriage to the Riddle she slept next to every night.

"Well, since fathers not home can we eat something good? Can we have.. Muggle food?" the (h/c)ette knew he might be pushing it with that question but he hasn't had muggle food since he was 8 and he was turning twelve soon enough. only 3 months till then. "I might be able to arrange that, only because your father isn't supposed to be home for another two days." As the words were leaving his mothers mouth the small boy couldn't help but to smile wide.

He loved muggle food, it always had a certain flavor to it that he couldn't put his finger on but he figured that it tasted like joy. "So what did you want to talk about?" the boy was highly curious over the conversation his mom wanted to have with him. His mother was never serious about anything which is one reason why he always enjoyed her company.

"Well, your father always told the stories about your Uncle Tom, however, there is something you should know about him. I know your idea of him might change but the truth is, your uncle has done some bad things. He sort of started an army that he had kill muggle borns, not only that the people in those armies did bad things." Much to Elysiums surprise there was no look of shock on her sons face, only confusion.

"I'm not sure I understand." after that was said (y/n) heard every last word that his mother had to say, from his uncle wanting an unmatched amount of power after learning that it was possible to achieve. To his uncle thinking that only purebloods were worthy of life and some half-bloods but only if they followed him. He learned that his Uncle Sev was a 'Death Eater' as they call it. He learned of the concerns his mother had for him.

He understood that those Death Eaters with children were supposed to have promised the 'Dark lord' that their kids would be the future generation of Death Eaters. In this moment he was glad that his Uncle Sev never had children but he was slightly worried for his own future. The (h/c)ette would refuse to kill someone, maybe if it was someone he really didn't like he would consider it but he wouldn't actually do it. If there was other non-killing things he could do then maybe he would be alright.

The tattoo that was shown to him did look slightly cool but he didn't think it should be branded something so evil. With time the boy feels as if he could possibly rebrand it, if he was given the chance. He really wanted to do something great with the world. Restore it, he would help take down his uncle, after all, if it was true then the 'Dark Lord' isn't really his uncle. It's only a fragment of the insanity that lay within his true form. (y/n) was determined to find the fragment of his uncle that truly was Tom.

"I understand, but if what you said is true then my fate really has already been decided just like Lucy said but I'll take him down from the inside, I promise." The boy gave his mom a smile but that didn't make her look any less worried. In fact, it seemed like he had made the situation worse. "I don't suppose you're both wanting to eat in here, unless you do?" Severus walked in after hearing what the boy had to say about it all.

Although the young boys words were concerning he couldn't help but to feel a little pride. It took a lot to say that but mainly he was happy to hear that for once, someone didn't hate him for a stupid and emotion based decision he made as a kid. "No, I'll go down in a moment but I wanted to talk to you first Uncle Sev." the
(h/c)ette shooed away his mother with a had motion which earned him a slight smack on the back of his head.

As soon as his mother left the room his uncle replaced the spot she had just been sitting. "So, you were in love with his mom and that was the reason or was the reason that you were tired of being bullied by her boyfriend because I'm not too sure I understand your reasoning." the boy felt slightly bad for being blunt but his curiosity was killing him and he wanted an answer now. Either way, the reason would be somewhat stupid but he would be able to understand where his uncle was coming from.

"Perhaps a bit of both, Lily was kind, it was hard not to love her. However, her dating someone who thought I was a loser for many reasons, one, being that I'm not a pureblood hurt. I wanted to be better and I was sort of convinced it could be possible if I joined a cause that was beyond bigger than me." Severus was nervous over how vulnerable this felt. It wasn't a lie those were factors that went into it, never in his life did he think he was going to find the one person he had grown to love lying dead on the floor and a few month old child just there.

He wasn't torn up over the death of James but was more wrecked upon finding out that Lucius was stalling time and didn't tell him that Voldemort was on his way to Lily's house. More torn over finding out that Narcissa was the one sending him little notes hinting at the events that were to happen. "I get it, poor choices are made by everyone, I think you'd be a good example of actions can have long term consequences but I think she should have picked you, lets go eat." (y/n) patted his Uncle Severus before leaving the room and heading down for dinner.

He wonder how much of his uncles life was spent in a hole of self hatred and guilt. The boy was sure that harsh words were probably exchanged before the two, Lily and Severus, never saw each other again. The boy felt as though Lily probably didn't hate his uncle but was more confused and hurt over it. Did she know that her Husband was a bully?

"I'm here for the food!" The boy declared as he sat at the table, not wanting to think about his uncle's past anymore, the boy looked at all the food and smiled. "Did I do alright? I myself hardly go to the muggle world for food, I go to get select snacks for my house." Severus looked at the boy who nodded eagerly, waiting on his mother to sit so he could eat. After dinner, the boy spent his time with his uncle until it was time for bed.

When he had gotten to his room, he had found a letter waiting for him, he understood what should be done and so he replied with a response that was just as encrypted as the letter he had received. Soon after the boy got ready and drifted off into sleep thinking about all the information he had learned today.
