"I think he was just trying to be nice and not rub his wealth in everyone's face." Blaise laughed the situation was entertaining. "Oh how kind of you Draco, for once." The (h/c)ette was now dying of laughter. It wasn't actually all that funny to everyone else but that didn't stop him from laughing till his belly hurt. "Geez aren't you all supposed to be nice to me?" Draco rolled his eyes a little but he wasn't actually upset. He was wealthy and he didn't care that people knew.A few moments passed and an announcement was made that all students should make their way to the grand hall. "Alright, this was fun but I guess it's time to go now." The group was quick to make it down to the hall but when they entered they were slightly disgusted at the sight of sleeping bags all across the floor. "Nope I quit and I'm going the bloody hell home." (y/n) turned around but stopped at the sound of his uncle's cough. "You will be staying here, need I remind you that your parents wouldn't be satisfied to know that you left school while it's still technically in session." Severus was amused by the was his nephew was acting but he couldn't act like he was.
"Seriously Uncle Sev, sleeping on the ground is a bit much. I mean what, are you supposed to watch our every move even while asleep? Who is going to be petrified in their sleep?" The (h/c)ette was looking around, still horrified by the situation. He didn't want to sleep on the floor. Of course, he knew that he was acting spoiled. There were people who had to sleep on the floor even in their own homes but he didn't, so this was a semi-big deal to him. "Actually yes. Very smart of you to figure it out, even in your state of hysteria." Severus pointed over to a few sleeping bags seperated into a corner.
He figured the least he could do was separate him and his friends from everyone else. "Houses are sleeping all together but are still coordinated by bag color. Go on."The group made their way over to their area. "Right now, I would much prefer Lucy's cold mansion to this." (y/n) pretended to faint onto his things. The group waited for everyone else to show up and sure enough everyone was stuffed into little bags all around. What disgusted the small boy about this was the fact that people had dropped food on this floor. It was not technically clean.
After every student was in and settled they started their speech about how this way everyone could continue to study and be safe. If not everyone would have to repeat the year. All in all, they just didn't want to reteach is what the (h/c)ette was getting from everything. "Draco share your bag with me." It wasn't a question, the small boy just wanted more space and if he could combine his with Draco's then they would have more space. "What no, then we'll be sleeping together." The blonde grabbed at his bag and held it close to him.
"Your highness, we're sleeping on the floor. That alone means we're technically sleeping together." The (h/c)ette unzipped his bag and layed it out. A few moments of silence passed before the blonde did the same. The short male was smart and did his best to connect the two. after he was done they both sat there. "I guess this should be fine." The blonde rolled his eyes but he really couldn't bring himself to care all that much. This wasn't as weird as the time they shared an actual bed.
Shortly after the situation was explained to everyone, their personal blankets and pillows were brought to them. "Why are they letting boys and girls sleep together?" Pansy wasn't complaining since she finally had the chance to be with her friends but she wasn't sure why this was happening. "Well, think about it. We're supervised by everyone. Dumbledore, Filtch, and all of the head of houses. Who the bloody hell is going to try anything at this point?" The (h/c)ette shrugged before making himself comfortable with his things. "I seriously can't believe we'll be sleeping this way, and for a while at that." Blaise sighed a little, this was a bit weird for him but at least they were still at school.
"At least now Draco won't get in trouble since they postponed the game until before we're out of here for summer." Pansy laughed a little before she laid herself down as well. Not long after everyone was settled, the lights were shut off and everyone fell incredibly silent. It was difficult for the (h/c)ette to fall asleep since he knew everyone was around him. The atmosphere was slightly louder than usual and he could hear practically everyone breathing. The room he had didn't feel like enough and the ground felt harder than usual.
He hated it, he wasn't sure how long he had been up since everyone else had fallen asleep. He sighed carefully, he was tired and wanted more than anything to just sleep. The boy turned over onto his right side and just stared at the blonde for a moment. There was no harm in looking since he was asleep and he was sure the professors were too busy talking about the situation to notice that he was awake. He took the time to just study the pale boys features once more as he had done before. For some reason he couldn't stop himself from doing so every time they landed themselves in a sort of quiet environment.
This time he noticed how the blondes eyelashes casted a shadow over his cheekbones. It made him look oddly feminine but not in the way that made all his other features look as such. The boy noticed the subtle changes that happened over the few months. The blondes features were slightly sharper and he swears he could vividly picture what the taller male would look like in the near future.
