Backstory: Rita Veria was a Pantoran Force sensitive female who, throughout her days as a padawan, suffered physical and mental abuse at the hands of her master, Pong Krell. The effects lingered well after she was finally a jedi knight and free from Krell; because of the son of a hutt that he was to her, Rita often turned to substance abuse. Slowly slipping into the dark side, she pretended everything was fine, and often distanced herself from others. Finally, she left the Order in 24 BBY, not being able to take it anymore.
Sometime later, Dooku found the broken girl and recruited her to his cause. She became a Sith Assassin, and would kill many jedi during her time. During the Battle of Umbara she allied temporarily with padawan Leda Delvin against Krell.
