20 BBY, Umbara

War in the Expansion region! As the Separatists tighten their grip over vital but isolated supply routes, the Republic launches a lightning strike into a remote ghost nebula to control the strategic system of Umbara. Republic forces smash through the Separatist Blockade in an effort to claim the shadowy world...

"Masters Krell and Tiin will be supporting my troops in the south while Anakin and Kendall's battalions comes in from the north and takes out enemy reinforcements. It is imperative that we conquer the capital city as quickly as possible, and hold it." Obi Wan briefed the clones on the attack strategy as R2 produced a holographic map of the capital.

"Our biggest problem's gonna be the local militia," Anakin added. "The Umbarans have aligned themselves with the Separatists and are heavily armed. ARC Troopers Fives and Sniper will be assisting our units on special assignment."

Fives nodded. "Ready to do my part, General Skywalker."

Sniper saluted to Kendall. "You name the task."

Kendall nodded curtly. "All right."

"Nice to have you on board," Rex told Fives.

"Just like old times, Rex," The ARC trooper replied.

Obi Wan looked at Anakin and Kendall. "Remember, Cody and I will be 12 clicks to your south. We're counting on you to take out those local fighters, or, I'm afraid the capital will never surrender."

Kendall nodded. "I understand, Master Kenobi."

Anakin scoffed. "Does my battalion have to do everything?"

"You seem to always volunteer. And besides, you have Kendall and Leda to assist you," his old master replied before walking off.

"All right, let's go!" Rex motioned to his men as R2 turned off the hologram.

"We've got a job to do," Kal told his before moving out.

The foggy Umbaran sky was filled with blasterfire and green puffs as the Republic LAATs made their way down.

"There's a lot of surface fire," Rex told Anakin in one LAAT.

"They ain't got nothing we can't handle, sir," said another clone beside him.

"You hanging in there, Tup?" Rex asked.

"So far so good, Captain," Tup said.

Meanwhile, in another LAAT, Leda gripped the rails tightly as the transport maneuvered rather roughly. "I can't wait till we land," she muttered softly.

"Oh, trust me, it's scarier on land," Kendall replied, remembering a mission she had gone on as Ki Adi Mundi's padawan several years ago.

"Maybe," Leda said. "But it can't be much worse than- waaaaauugh!"

The LAAT made a sharp turn to the side to evade a blaster shot and Leda was nearly thrown off. She desperately clung onto the railings before the LAAT righted itself, and Leda got back on her feet.

"You all right, kid?" Kal asked.

Leda nodded. "It... was nothing."

"Glad to hear that," the clone commander told her as more surface fire lit up the dark atmosphere around them.

The pilot flying Anakin's LAAT comlinked him. "General Skywalker, I'm turning the lights out. Our night vision sensors are having a tough time in this chop. I hope we don't overshoot the landing site."
