The Cannon Ball Execution

At the underground gym:

Today is the day of the ranking exam 'cannon ball execution'.

Kana's palms were rarely sweating.

Kallego held up the ball, "now then, i'll just confirm you all know the rules."

"All will stand on the infield and 1 person will stand on the outfield on each side. Those  who were touched by the ball must go to the outfield and attack until one team completely defeated. You can use magic on the ball but not on your opponents. Rank evaluation will be proportional to the student's rank in each team. The time limit is 15 minutes, once the ball touches the ground and faces contact it is a foul."

Kana was shocked to find Kallego holding a ball and not swearing, attractive.

'No... absolutely not!....maybe...what the hell is wrong with me?!' Kana hid her blush as she looked away.

Kallego pointed to a box with the letters A and B.

"Distribute the armbands for the teams amongst yourselves. Get into the court once they're on." He instructed.

"Finally, our training will actually pay off!" Kana stretched her waist.

"Y- yeah..." Iruma replied.

"Let's head out!" Clara sped away with her armband.

"E-eh...?!" Asmodeus and Iruma were shocked to find each other move away.

Although Kana doesn't really care.

Team A – Sabnock, Jazz, Elizabeth, Clara, Agares, Iruma and Kamui

Team B – Lied, Purson, Allocer, Crocell, Gaap, Kana and Asmodeus

Asmodeus protested.

"Hey! I think there's something wrong with the grouping!"

Kallego glanced to the side.

"We must strictly distribute strength equally. No objections, go line up." He held a hand.

"T-that...that...!" Asmodeus was frustrated.

Kana blew out her front hair that were left out from her ponytail, "just get on with it Asmodeus!"

Sabnock's heart thumped faster on sight of how her stance was so serious.

Purson blushed and disappeared, because he found how she blew hair attractive.

"It's okay." Iruma patted his hand.

Now Asmodeus is embarrassed.

Kana rolled her eyes at the two's chatter.

"Hurry up!" She whined.

Kallego huffed, "well then...let the canon ball execution commence!"

Lied held the ball and was tossing it side to side.

"Should we attack Iruma? Kana might get mad."

Gaap pointed to Kana eying the other team with vicious eyes.

"Uhh, you okay with this....Kana?" Lied asked.

Kana smirked "you're going down brother!" She yelled from across the court.

Iruma gaped, insulted.

"I'd like to see you try!" He responded.

Their classmates stared at them, who were giving each other glares.

"I think she's fine with it." Jazz passed the ball to Sabnock on the other side of the court.

"When did you-" Lied no longer had the ball.

Then Sabnock threw it to Crocell, who made an ice barrier but failed in blocking it.

Kamui caught the ball and gave it to Elizabeth.

"Safe, no bounce..." Lied said.

Kana frowned "no, it's out."

She tried to look for the ball but tons of balls came rolling out.

It was Clara's magic.

"Where's the original?!" Both teams tried to find it.

Agares woke up and complained, "so noisy. You're in the way!"

His magic made the ground tumble.

Somebody spotted the ball.

"There!"

Iruma caught the ball, but he didn't know how to toss it.

Kana smirked.

But the others misinterpreted Iruma's eyes.

"Just look at that unpredictable form!"

"Run!"

Sabnock patted Iruma's head.

"You've done well my rival. Just leave the offense to me!"

Asmodeus caught his throw.

"I was just thinking....don't bother me!" He slammed back the ball to Sabnock.

"Out!"

The other team sighed "Asmodeus is dangerous alright!" "No way we can throw at him."

The current survivors are only Asmodeus, Iruma and Kana.

She hid tactfully behind the other members.

Asmodeus couldn't bear the thought to attack Iruma.

He turned to Kana "maybe you should throw this time...Kana – sama...eh?"

Kana put on her doe eyes.

"Azz – kun...he's my brother..." she made her bottom lip quiver.

This made Asmodeus feel sorry for her and now he was determined, more so by the looks of Iruma's eyes.

Actually, Kana just wants to have Iruma finish him off so only she and Iruma would be remaining.

'It would be easier to get the top score that way.' She thought.

She is very practical (not at all calculating).

Asmodeus took one look at Iruma's determined eyes and gave his best shot.

"Using full power, and full power only. I will honor my etiquette as the demon Asmodeus Alice. And come at you seriously!"

Iruma was startled but fixed his stance immediately.

"I'll definitely catch it!" Iruma shouted.
