Kana in 'Mairimashita Iruma-kun'

"Ugh."

Kana groaned as she sat up.

"You're awake." She heard a voice.

"Hmm? Lied?" Kana coughed.

"Hey hey, ease up. Don't push yourself, lay back down if you need to." Lied put a pillow under her head before she laid back down on the ground.

"What happened?" Kana breath slowly.

Lied scratched his head and explained.

"Transparent barriers are all around the school after the ground shook, Jazz took you here saying he found you laying on the ground unconscious. Somebody announced just a while ago, saying it's a co-op event between the magical development division and the game division but we didn't plan anything like this. Our leaders just told us to keep quiet about it 'cuz it might be some sort of distraction from an accident."

Kana took all this in.

Something rustled beside her.

"Hey, your up. I just found you on the ground and I thought you probably fainted, here." Jazz handed her a bottle of water.

"Thanks." Kana grunted before she drank water.

"So, why are we all in the courtyard?" Kana motioned to the grassy place where she had laid on a while ago.

Lied filled her in.

"So they said this is a maze game and the start is the courtyard. But nobody's been able to get out the courtyard yet." He told Kana.

She groaned, trying to remember what she read about this situation.

However, she couldn't remember.

Everything about the manga of this world that she had read in her past life seemed blurry, like it was there but she couldn't see.

"Have you seen my brother?" Kana looked up at both demons.

They both shook their head.

"The barriers came up all of a sudden, so some students might be stuck on other parts of the school." Jazz said, looking away for some time.

"He'll be fine." Lied said, trying to reassure Kana after seeing her troubled expression.

'Eris, is this a big deal? Can you get rid of the barriers?' Kana thought mentally.

The black cat's voice echoed through her mind, but did not show.

'I can get rid of it if you desire, but some ruckus will happen and they might suspect you of this barrier problem. And the creator might keep you in their sights.' It replied telepathically.

'Right, let's just wait for this to end since I know it'll be resolve in some way.'

Kana walked around.

"Senior sisters, have you seen my brother?" She asked a group of her division-mates.

They shook their head.

"Iruma, right? I just saw him before the ground shook, he was walking through the halls." A passing student said.

"Thanks." Kana mumbled.

Elizabeth rubbed her back.

"Iruma – kun will be fine."

Crocell nodded.

A few faculty members came after a while.

Soon after, students were making a fuss.

"The demon beast division's on – the – edge acrobatics show!" Kana turned to see what the fuss was about.
