Natsu POV
"Yo Gramps!" I announced as I walked into the guild hall. "Why do you have such a sour look on your face?" He didn't respond and soon I noticed that everyone else looked extremely worried as well. "Hey what's going on?"
"Did everyone eat a bad fish or something?" Happy whispered into my ear, I couldn't help but think that it was a very real possibility.
"Not even close you stupid cat." Grey complained, scrunching his face.
"I'm not stupid....am I Natsu?" Happy asked me, I could almost see the tears welling up.
I smiled at my cat and bent down to his level. "I bet he really did eat a bad fish, don't let his mood upset you."
"Aye sir." He whispered, giggling in my ear.
"Anyway, back to Gramps." I proclaimed, brushing myself off. "What is with the serious faces?"
"Listen carefully Natsu, because I am only going to say this once." Gramps looked up at me from his place at the bar. "You are assigned to a very important mission as off right now, you and Gajeel and Wendy are going to Dawn City."
"What why?" I asked totally lost on what was going on.
"Because the magic council is asking for all known dragon slayers to gather in Dawn City the day after tomorrow. You will get the fine details later, once you arrive in the city." Gramps took a moment, before he stood up.
"Yo Gramps, do you think that is such a good idea?" Grey asked sitting on the stool beside the old man.
"Grey your cloths." Mira smiled from the other side of the bar, telling Grey to put on cloths must be becoming second nature to her because she wasn't even looking at him.
"AHH!" Grey freaked out and fell off his stool. "Not cool Mira."
"Want to know what's not cool? Seeing you walking around almost naked all day." Cana commented from her place on the bar, she was hugging a barrel as usual.
"Look who's talking....You, are under a barrel of beer!" Grey commented pulling on his usual pair of jeans, it was better than nothing but I still wished he would at least put a shirt on.
"Hmm." The master made a thinking noise, as if he was considering Grey's question. "Grey I think you have a point here, but the magic council said that I could only send my dragon slayers. Sending anyone else would be reckless and stupid, so even though I agree with you I am sorry but there is no other option."
"Master?" Wendy squeaked. "Is there anything else you can tell us about this task?"
"I can't tell you much young lady; the council wasn't big on sharing the details." Gramps explained, but as he spoke I knew what he was really saying. Gramps was telling us that he knew more than he was letting on, but he wouldn't be telling us anytime soon. "But here is what I can tell you. You are going to Dawn city, there is a convention being held there, all known dragon slayers will be there. I mean that when I say all. When you arrive at Dawn City and you find the meeting place, there will be a wizard saint waiting there for you and he will explain your mission in full."
"Master, why do you keep repeating 'all known dragon slayers'?" Lucy asked.
"Because that is what is happening. Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy. You are three of the known dragon slayers, but you're not the only ones that are known. On your journey you will also encounter some others, all familiar, but not all welcome." The master lectured.
