Saying that Natasha was pissed was an understatement. Firstly, had Y/N not told her about the evidence that the Red Room may be still active, but he had sent Yelena to look into it and not even bother to tell her until she was already thrown the mess of it.

That was until Y/N had a chance to explain why he did it, which changed her view point on it a little bit. This was due to the fact that there was the Joker event, Rumlow and the virus, and the Accords also happening, but Y/N could have at least mentioned it to her.

She set her frustration with Y/N aside for now. They had to find out if it was true and then find the location of the Red Room to bring it down, again for the two widows and the first for Y/N.

The two had gone to Budapest, a place that Natasha never thought she would have to go back to and one that she never wanted to go back to. It was the place where she made a mistake and a stain on her ledger that would always follow her, no matter how far she tried to escape it.

The two Avengers, with Y/N wearing a fake beard, mustache, his aviator sunglasses to be able to have an aerial view of their location in case they were attacked, and normal civilian clothes. This was to hide both of his identities since Y/N Wayne couldn't be seen with Natasha if anyone recognized her, and Batman drew in too much attention, walked into the building that was once a save house for her.

They took the elevator up to the floor that it was on as Natasha took a deep breath. They both knew that Yelena was okay since she was able to send them the picture of Natasha and herself when they were kids, but the stress of being on the run along with the Red Room was starting to get to Natasha.

And Y/N knew better than to ask if she was okay, not because he was angry at her at not completely understanding why he did what he had done, but because he knew now wasn't the time.

Once the elevator stopped, they got off with Natasha leading the way since she knew the way around the area. She stopped to get a pistol from a hidden compartment in the hallway, right outside of the safe house. Natasha kept it in her belt of her pants that the jacket she was wearing would hide from view.

To give Yelena a signal, Natasha chose something from their childhood. A special whistling sound that the sisters shared.

Locked where heard shifting on the door as Yelena then opened it and pulled the two inside before locking the locks again.

"Really? Budapest?" Natasha asked.

"Hey, I thought it was good," Yelena defended before looking at Y/N. "Nice beard."

"It's itchier than hell," Y/N said as he resisted the urge to scratch it.

Natasha then hugged Yelena. "I'm just glad your okay," She said as Yelena hugged back.

"Yeah, sorry for not being able to reach you," Yelena added. "Things happened and-"

"You're here now," Y/N chimed in. "That's all that matters."

The two sisters parted as the group went to the kitchen to continue their discussion.

"Why'd you send me this?" Natasha asked as she took the vials out of her jacket's pocket and place them onto the table and handed the picture back to her.

"You brought it back here?" She asked, a little angry. "I had to get them away from me as fast as I could. I planned on finding you and we would then go get them."

"What are they?" Y/N asked as he looked at the red vials.

"It's a synthetic gas," Yelena explained as she left the room. Y/N grabbed them as Natasha and himself followed her to hear the explanation. "The counter agent to chemical subjugation." Yelena picked up a bag as she continued. "The gas immunizes the brain's neuropathways from external manipulation."
