First, she woke up in bed with Vintay tucked into her side. She doesn't remember them going back to her room. She shrugged it off, figuring she was just so exhausted she forgot.

Next she remembered that she was living in the same house as Beckham Im. The boy she had been in love with for four years. The boy that rejected her in front of her classmates. The son of her dad's best friend.

She laid in bed for several minutes reflecting on the telenovela that has become her life. She looked at her phone to see the time, realizing that she had an hour till school started. Using every ounce of strength she had, Tommy pulled herself out if bed to start her morning routine. She left her brother to sleep a while longer as she brushed her teeth and fix her locs.

When the clock showed that she was in the bathroom longer than she should have been, she started to rush more. Gather comfortable clothes for herself and cute sparkly clothes for her brother. She knelt next to the bed, gently shaking the boy till he rolled over raising a hand to rub his eyes.

"Come on bubbles, we have school" she said softly. VonTay obediently got up, though he did sit on the bed for a minute as he tried to wake up. Tommy walked him to the bathroom and sat him on the countertop so he could brush his teeth. She made a mental note to buy him a stool when she went shopping.

She brushed his hair out, putting some curling product in her hands and finger curled his ear length hair. By then the little boy was wide awake and complaining about being hungry.

Tommy was just as hungry and rushed to get them both dressed and ready for the day. She had settled for a red crop top and black oversized sweatpants seeing as she didn't really care about how she looked at school. She grabbed both their book bags and walked to the staircase.

As soon as their feet touched the last step, a whiff of pancakes and bacon clouds their senses. VonTay left his sister behind, running to the scent of food. The kitchen was down the hallway on the left, and turn the corner. Tommy couldn't decide if she like the kitchen better at night or in the morning.

It had a high ceiling, going all the way up into the second floor of the house. The low hanging lights above the granite island weren't light like they were the night before. The kitchen had the same cool color scheme as the rest of the house, but it held more of the different shades of gray. All the appliances were to the right of where she stood. Silver stove and countless pale grey cabinets were along that side.

As she walked further in, she noticed there were more larger cabinets and two stacked overs on the wall of the entrance. It wasn't until Mama A walked over and open the cabinet door, that she realized there weren't storage but two hidden refrigerators and freezers.

Tommy was in awe at the two story glass wall in front of her. Looking out, she saw a large hedge wall that was as tall as windows along the side to block the neighbors view of the backyard. She tried to minimize her amazement and seat at the dinner with the others. The empty seat next to VonTay would have been hers if her father hadn't beaten her to it.

The only other seat was next to the devil, rather, Beckham. She huffed and sat in the surprisingly comfortable high chair. She reached over the large island to the middle where the stack of pancakes, bacon and eggs sat, filling up her plate. The food looked as good as it smelled and Tommy wasted no time diving into the breakfast. The first bit was heaven, while the next was just Tommy scarfing down the food faster than she should've.
