Ever since Tommy was a little girl she wanted to go to New York. She enjoyed city life and the cold, so the young girl though it would be perfect. She dreamt about owning her own apartment, going to little cafes. It was her dream.

At eighteen years old, she finally got to check something off her bucket list. Christmas in New York was in her top ten things to do. The families were staying in the Im's luxury penthouse in an upscale complex that was a block away from Central Park.

Phillip asked them why they lived in Atlanta when they have such a nice place in New York. Mama A told him that the have multiple properties across the country, but Atlanta felt like home to them.

As they walked threw the threshold of the multi- million dollar apartment, Tommy couldn't believe what she was seeing. The high ceiling was two story's tall. Plush white and red Christmas decorations were all across the vast living room. The window were floor to ceiling, showing the beautiful view of the city.

Tommy wanted to stop and cry at how overwhelmingly happy she was to be here. If it wasn't for Hugo snapping his fingers in her face, she would have dove into a world of make-believe, pretending this apartment was hers.

"How long do you plan to stand there with that stupid look on your face?" He asked rudely.

Tommy said nothing, he eyes slowly shift downwards to look at the boy before she buck at him as if she were going to hit him. Hugo flinched hard, stumbling back making a laugh bubble in Tommy's chest. She points at the boy mockingly then grabbed her bags heading up the stairs to her temporary room.

As she wonders the long hall, Mama A pops from around the corner at the sound of Tommy's footsteps.

"Oh good! I've been looking for you!" The women said. She does a cute walk toward the girl, shoulders going up and down as a wide smile plays on her lips.

Tommy laughs at the women's enthusiasm. Mama A took a bag from Tommy's hands, wrapping her arm in her now free on as the turned around.

"Come with me." Mama A said.

The pair walked to the opposite side of the hall that had most of the bedrooms. They walked slowly as the older women told Tommy the plans for the day.

"You, me, and little Von will be going shopping for a few things. You and I are the only ones that have a tolerance for it." She laughed, letting go of Tommy's arm when they reached a door.

Mama A opened the door for her, hold an arm out for her to come in.

"The best view in the house!" The women said, watching Tommy's face as she walked in.

If only she had her camera. Mama A wanted to capture the look of pure bliss that spread on her face. The room was wide with a wall of windows showing the view of the Brooklyn bridge. Tommy's arms went limp at the sight. The room was beautiful, much like her room back home it was riddled with plants but these were fake.

"Oh sweet baby Jesus." Tommy mutters making the women laugh.

She also smiled as she walked towards the window, looking at the city below her. She wished this vacation would last longer than. If she truly had a choice she wouldn't leave at all.
