Ink was sat on the grass while admiring a fox in the distance. He trailed a piece of charcoal against the paper of his journal, slowly sketching the body of the animal onto it.The cottage door slowly opened, causing the fox to run away. Luckily Ink had a good enough memory to finish the drawing.
He looked towards the home and saw Error and Lily walk out. The old woman was talking with him as they walked over to the crops. Error turned his attention to Ink and unknowingly gave him a somewhat welcoming smile. Ink returned it with a warmer one, going back to the drawing of the fox.
Error listened to Lily speak to him but his mind couldn't put down the idea of the farm boy. Recently, Ink made the demon feel differently. He suddenly became nervous around him and started to want to impress the farm boy.
However, the demon had no knowledge of what he was feeling. His kind only truly knew the feelings of anger. Error was so confused that it made him frustrated almost.
Once the old woman was finished with the small lesson, she left Error on his own. She assumed that he would walk around. Instead, he walked over to Ink.
Ink: Good morning, Error.
Error picked up Ink and pressed him against a tree trunk. Ink began to freak out but there was also a layer of rainbow blush that appeared on his cheeks.
Error: What are you doing to me?
He deeply growled at the farm boy.
Ink: I don't know what you're talking about?
Error: You know exactly what I mean, Ink. Every time I'm around you I become warm inside and you make me nervous to speak. I want impress you whenever I can. What spell did you use? I'm not supposed to be this weak.
Error said aggressively towards Ink. He couldn't understand that what he felt for Ink was love. His kind never prepared him for feeling deep and intimate affection for someone.
Ink's blush became more solid, he knew what Error was talking about but he didn't know how to explain it. Ink took a deep breath and leaned in, locking his lips with Error.
The demon froze with his eyes wide open. His face flared up with warmth and he could have sworn that his disguised tail was wagging. He relaxed eventually, even leaning into it and returning whatever they were doing. They pulled away to catch their breath.
Error: That felt weird. What was that?
Ink: You don't know what a kiss is?
He asked, tilting his head to the side. Error shook his head and felt embarrassment of his ignorance. Ink smiled and began speaking.
Ink: Meet me outside the cottage tonight. I can teach you what you want to know.
Error looked at Ink and nodded. He let go of Ink and picked up the journal that had fallen to the ground, handing it back to the farm boy.
(Time Skip)
Error put on the best clothing that Tabet had made for him. He straightened his tunic before walking out of the cottage.
He saw Ink standing outside, carrying a basket with Moon rubbing against his legs. The farm boy smiled as he rubbed his hand against her ear.
Error froze for a second at the sight of her but managed to gather his courage once more.
Ink: I'm surprised Lily hadn't stopped you. She normally doesn't like people going out in the middle of the night.
He said while smiling. Ink began walking in a certain direction with Error following.
They came upon a field that was covered with flowers. Ink excitedly walked into it and placed a blanket down. Error followed the farm boy, sitting next to him.
The night was chilly and peaceful. Ink smiled at Error as the demon joined him on the blanket.
Error stared at the farm boy curiously, feeling that same warm energy inside his soul like all other times when he stared at Ink.
He also seemed to notice that Ink was fidgeting with his fingers quite a bit.
Error: Is there something on your mind?
Ink looked away, a colorful rainbow covering his cheeks.
Ink: There's something that I-I want t-to tell you.
Error secretly debated something in his mind. He eventually decided.
Error: There's something that I also want to tell you.
The demon allowed the farm boy to speak first. Ink looked at the blanket and quietly spoke.
Ink: Error. I'm... in love with you.
This caused Error to realize something. He had two things to tell Ink.
Ink blushed as he looked at Error. The demon debated everything is in his mind.
'Will Ink accept me for who I truly am and how I feel happy around him?'
Error didn't understand that love was the name for what he was feeling however, he was starting to learn the body language that should be used.
Ink looked at Error curiously, remembering that he also had something to say. Normally, the outsider was quiet due to people not being able to understand him because of his foreign accent.
The demon tried to decide which piece of information that he wanted to share first. The fact that he felt the same towards Ink or that he was...
A completely different race
