The two enjoyed their coffee and desserts. The cafe was busy but it remained relatively quiet. After Error took a bite of his tiramisu, he looked across the table. Ink was taking small bites of his pain au chocolat but stopped when he noticed that he was being watched.
Error: You said that you came back from your home country? I can't seem to recall where you're from.
Ink: Because I never talked about it. I am actually from France. I went back to be with family and to compete in competitions.
Error rested his chin against his palm. After Ink mentioned that he was French, he could start to pick out the faint accent that he had.
Error: So that's what you've been doing since high school?
Ink: Yup. I moved back so I can attend college and get a degree.
Error: I see. What do you plan on majoring in?
Ink: I... don't know yet.
Ink admitted shyly.
Ink: What do you think I should major?
Error: Something in art definitely. You've always been fantastic at it so I have no doubt that you can find a job in that area of expertise.
From the compliment, the other blushed a faint rainbow and grinned an appreciative smile.
The two sipped their coffee together and finished their desserts. After a little bit more conversation, they finished their lunch meeting and parted ways.

Error stood at the curbside and watched the cars that passed by. He kept his eye out for a specific vehicle that he was hoping to see.
It had been a few days since he last saw Ink and to be honest, he was excited to meet up with him again. This was something out of normal behavior for him.
Soon, a car appeared and then turned to pull into the parking lot. He followed the vehicle and waited for its driver to get out.
He eventually saw Ink step out. He waved excitedly as the shorter of the two walked over to him.
Error: Hey.
Ink: Hey.
Error: I really hope I don't embarrass myself too much today.
Ink: I'm sure you will be fine.
Ink reassured. The two headed towards the building that was next to the parking lot. It was a skating rink.
Ink had somehow managed to convince Error to go skating. Error was adamant about not doing it as he had no idea how to skate but he knew that if Ink was there, everything would be okay.
They checked in at the front desk, received their skates, and sat down to change shoes.
After switching footwear, Error tried standing up but lost his balance which led to Ink laughing. Ink helped the other stand up again so he could have another attempt at walking.
Ink walked as if he was wearing normal shoes, swiftly stepping out onto the ice and gliding smoothly as if by second nature. He held out his hand towards Error, who was just outside of the rink.
Ink: Don't worry, if you fall I will help you up.
Error sighed and thought.
'For you Ink, I am ready to do anything new.'
He slowly walked out, slipped slightly but Ink was there to catch him. They moved along the ice alongside the outer part of the rink, giving Error time and space to learn.
Ink skated backwards as he watched his companion gradually get better and better.

They found a bench that faced the ocean. The sun was warm but the breeze carried the cool salty air of the water. Ink was amazed by the calming scene.
Error: This is a place that I like to go to when I go for walks in the evening.
Ink: I can imagine why. It's so pretty.
Ink took a picture with his phone, presumably so he could recreate the scene later.
As they sat there, watching the waves, they shared conversation and enjoyed some homemade snacks.
Ever since they saw each other in the grocery store, they hung out as much as they could. Error and Ink quickly reignited their friendship and were once more best friends. However, secretly both of them wanted more. It was only a matter of who was going to ask first.
Error: Hey Ink.
Ink: What's up?
Error: Will you go out with me?
Ink started giggling and blushing rainbow...
I though you would never ask
