Wish Me Luck

I woke up the next morning to Chris gently kissing the back of my neck. "Good morning, that feels good" I said pressing my butt against him.

"Good morning" he said back holding me with his arm.
"Thank you for letting me take you out, I had a great time with you last night."

"Thank you Chris for everything" I said back blushing.
Chris's phone was ringing so he answered it letting me go.

"It's your brother" he whispered before answering.
My jaw dropped I jumped turning around facing Chris.

"Hey Michael" he answered sitting up.

"Put it on speaker" I whispered.

I finally heard Michael through the speaker "Good morning I'm just checking up on you. How are you?"

"Um I'm, I'm good, how are you" he replied nervous. I held his hand and rubbed it.

"That's good to hear. I was calling to invite you to my family dinner— Oh Shit" I whispered in the background.

"Who was that" Michael asked.

"Im sorry it was the Tv"

Michael Laughed "Oh okay, so will you be there? It's the 5th of this month.

"Okay it's in two days, yes I'll be there" he said smiling before looking at me. His smile dropped at I hit his chest.

"Heyy—What?" "Nothing sorry Michael I was talking to my friend. Can I call you back?"

"Yeah sure, See you soon" Michael said before hanging up. Chris was staring me down "What was that for" he asked.

"I was going to that family dinner. But not anymore now your going" I said getting out of the bed .

"I won't go then. Hey I'll tell him something came up" he said following me to the bathroom.

I closed the door before he could get further. "JANET!"
"What Chris! Go Michael likes you. It will be too awkward if I go too" I said staring in the mirror.

"Fine, Anyway I like your company. I'd like to take you out another time. If that's okay with you?"

I caught myself smiling in the mirror. "Sure, I had fun yesterday. Let's do it again" I said opening the door.

He grabbed me bringing me back  to the bed. I was laughing in his arms. "Come here" he said before kissing me.

He eventually left and I got straight to work.
It was the next day and I woke up to Michele calling my phone.

"Hey what's up" I asked half sleep.

"Why are you always sleep? You need to start waking up early. But I was calling to make sure you'll be there tomorrow."

"Where" I asked. "At the house. The family dinner Janet. Please tell me your going. Mother will be so devastated if she doesn't see you."

My heart dropped, I don't want to hurt my mother. "Shit" I said. "You'll be shit outta luck cause I won't help you when Mom is hurt over you not showing up. If you don't stay just say hi."

I shook myself awake thinking about Chris being there. "Just a warning I invited Chris Brown. You should remember him from my rehearsal. The one you rudely walked out on. Heyyy maybe you should show up to make up for my rehearsal. Wouldn't that be nice."

"No Michael" "See you tomorrow"
"Hey—" he hung up on me. He's so petty.

Later on that day I got a text.

Mommy
I can't wait to see you, your brothers and sister tomorrow. All together again

Shit now I have to go. Maybe I'll go early before Chris then I'll leave early before Chris gets there. I'll say I have somewhere to be.
