A Darth of the ancient Sith Empire suddenly finds herself, countless centuries in the future within a new age ripe with opportunity. A galaxy weakened by civil war yet firmly under the control of one who claims to be the Dark Lord of the Sith, this...
The second I decided to head straight for Dromund Kaas, the entire fleet kicked into action. Preparations began for what would likely prove a massive undertaking. Since Djin, the pirates and even the Imperials we'd captured knew nothing of the planet, it was easy to deduce that it had been abandoned all this time. Nothing could tell what such could do to a world so warped by the Dark Side of the Force.
The jump took longer than I'd expected, but before long, the entire fleet dropped out of Hyperspace.
Me: There she is...Dromund Kaas.

Avril: We're not detecting any signals coming from the planet.
Me: As is to be expected. We'll be heading down.
Avril: I'll have the transports ready-
Me: No. Have every ship descend. We'll secure Kaas City and establish a solid perimeter to keep further intrusion from the natural fauna and any other menace we might find out. To do this, we'll need the fully coordinated close-range efforts of every vessel and not orbital strikes, which would wipe out both friend and foe.
Avril: But Lady Nyx! If we all descend, how will we defend against-
Me: Avril, look around. Do you think there's anyone that's going to ambush our fleet out here? Besides, having the dreadnaughts hide in the atmosphere should give us the advantage either way. It also allows for the faster deployment of troops, so I see no downsides...unless you're afraid of a little thunder.
There's laughter in the bridge as Avril lowers her head in embarrassment, but the moment is short-lived when a signal is picked up. It is a distress signal, and it is coming from Darth Hadra's shuttle!
Me: Where's it coming from?
Officer: From deep within the jungles beyond the Temple, Ma'am.
Me: Avril, continue with the plans to establish a perimeter around the capital.
Shae: Where are you going?
Me: I'm going for her.
Shae: Wha- you don't even know if she's alive.
She's right...but that doesn't mean I can't hold on to the possibility that my hopes, for once, are true.
Me: I'm going with or without you.
Shae: I...fine, but I'm bringing my clan with us. We don't know what we'll face down there, and I'd prefer not to have to worry about the lives of others besides your own.
I smile, unable to tell her the words I feel as we rush for the hangars. As we run, Shae radios her clan and tells them to get ready and meet us there. True to their traditions, by the time we get there, all the Mandolorians are already aboard the transports and fully geared for battle.
