Sith Empire
Conquest has gone a lot smoother than it could have otherwise occurred with worlds surrendering to our fleets en masse following my declaration that those that resist would be reduced to charred space rock. Of course, we've avoided destroying any worlds besides the one uninhabited rock used for demonstrative purposes but it hasn't prevented fear from seizing the galaxy. However, not everyone joins us outright.
Of those that do, the most notable are Mon Calamari and Cantonica. The latter joined us long before our fleets so much as graced their system thanks to the efforts of their contacts on Lianna within our Empire. Mon Calamari, on the other hand, joined us out of ties to the Resistance which placed them on the Galactic Empire's Hit List. Thanks to our timely intervention, however, the invasion of their world was prevented and they formally joined us, bringing with them their ship-building capabilities.
Despite joining my Empire, I've had them continue focusing on Civilian shipbuilding as Lianna has proven more than capable of handling our orders and with us not losing capital ships, there's no need to replace them en masse. That being said, work is still underway to further expand the shipyards around Lianna as it continues to prove our most important system besides Korriban and Dromund Kaas.
Currently, my Empire stretches from Celanon and Mandalore in the West to Cantonica in the North to Mon Calamari in the East before circling back to Columex and Lucazec in the South.
We have well over a trillion citizens under my rule and though work continues to centralise rule, for now, we're primarily focusing on maintaining our borders while launching small raids into Imperial space to harass enemy supply lines. Key to such operations is Admiral Thrawn's fleet of now six Imperial II Star Destroyers and two Victory-class Vessels.
He's proven a most useful tool of war, often scoring victory against the odds far behind enemy lines. Our allies in the Resistance have also proven quite useful, having gotten used to a similar kind of warfare. With our sensors aiding them, they've been able to strike a lot deeper into the Empire's territory than they'd otherwise be capable of.
Though we've been successful, we haven't been without failure. For instance, while we have gained control over large amounts of territory, we haven't yet fully converted said worlds to using our own minted currency as yet. Only our core worlds such as Lianna and Dromund Kaas have fully transitioned to the use of the new currency with more recent conquests like Mon Calamari still using the Galactic Credit system.
This in and of itself isn't a major issue but it does mean that the Galactic Empire can exert pressure on these worlds through financial sanctions. Needless to say, that's a problem. Furthermore, though our fleets have managed to keep Imperial Fleets from entering our space they haven't completely prevented the entry of their agents which have tried and succeeded on many fronts in sabotaging works on worlds near the border where security is somewhat lax due to the recency of their conquest.
For my part, I've continued playing my role as Empress well, only occasionally leaving the capital which has had the added effect of immortalising me as a kind of god in the people's mind. A powerful lady who invokes fear in her enemies but love and loyalty in all who meet her is just one of the ways people who've never met me before have come to describe me based on the experiences of those fortunate enough to even catch a glimpse of my person in the distance.
The much more public figure has been Hadra, who regularly gives public addresses to the nation on my behalf. When it isn't her, it is Kailey who's also been roped into helping out whenever she's not off on some military expedition.
Speaking of Kailey, we haven't really gotten the chance to speak much due to the war. I wonder if she...
Galactic Empire
The Galactic Empire is in decline. Despite our significant advantage in terms of numbers, we've been unable to muster our strength against our foe as every time our fleets move from their assigned sectors, a rebellion breaks out. If I'd known Tarkin's plan would have backfired like this I'd have never chosen to-
There's no use thinking about it now. I've already dispatched Darth Vader to the border to hunt down this Admiral Thrawn of theirs. He's proven quite the menace to our forces, constantly destroying our fleets and forcing any new ships we launch to be sent to take over their duties rather than be used to press a new offensive.
It's quite ingenious if you ask me. It prevents us from launching a major offensive while allowing them to attack us with impunity. I so hate being on the defensive but despite the threat they pose, I sense something much darker lying in wait just outside the galaxy. The Dark Force permeates with its wickedness. I need to ensure we keep our strength for when that time comes.
In all honesty, we haven't lost much. We still control most of the galaxy, including most of the wealthiest planets. We also have full control over the banks which allows us to continue exerting pressure on some of their worlds. However, I'll admit that I've been surprised by how swiftly they are replacing the use of Galactic Credits within their Empire. It's almost as though they...no, that's impossible.
None of that matters now. Yes. With the confusion this war has brought about, I can finally get rid of the Imperial Senate and drop all pretences that the Republic still exists. That will give me the control I need to win this war.
The only problem remaining is Organna. That pesky man refuses to back down. I know he's aiding the Rebels. I'm certain of it and yet he still holds much sway over the Mid-Rim so I couldn't do anything before without risking severe backlash but now...
Me: Lord Vader...
Vader: ...
Me: Take your fleet to Alderaan. It is time we rid ourselves of the Organnas. They've outlived their usefulness.
Vader: As you command-
