Chapter 22
**Cole's POV**
I wake up in my bed with a smile on my face. It's been awhile since I woke up in a good mood, with all the stress these past few weeks it's been hard to find some peace. Memories of last night came flooding into my mind and if it was even possible my smile grew.
I remembered the way she looked when she came out of her room that night when I told her how to dress. I know she didn't choose that outfit, no offense but she had no sense of style in the girl manor. She just threw on what she wanted and didn't care what people thought.
I loved how even as we were walking through the woods she continued to question my motives, she always had a smart mouth. What I enjoyed the most was the fact that the smile she had never left her face, just like I planned.
I decided it wasw time to get up and I made my way downstairs. I looked around to find my brothers all rummaging around the kitchen looking for stuff to eat. I was about to ask where Kat was when my phone vibrated with a new text. I pull it out of my pocket to see it was Kat.
Kitty Kat: Be home tmrw staying at friends :)
Cole: K. Be careful.
I texted back the simple response. There was no need for her to explain who her friends were, the only people she knew were her two friends Tori and Natalie. I did mean it when I told her to be careful, ever since I heard about what her father did to her and about his escape I've been more worried than usual. It didn't help when she also happened to mention what Adam has been doing to her.
I shake the thoughts out of my head and make my way to the theatre room and planning on staying in all day and having a movie marathon. My brothers piled into the room and quickly took seats as I popped in the first of the Saw movies.
Cody speaks up as the beginning credits are running through, "Where's Kat?" he sounded a little worried and I don't blame him. I knew that Cody was over protective of her before she told us what happened, but after it seemed like he went into overload.
"She's staying at Tori's tonight" I simply reply trying to ease his worry. It seemed to work as I notice him relax his posture. As do Conner and Caden who were listening to our interaction intently.
After that we all became quiet and settled in to watch movies and eat popcorn all day. My parents decided to go back on their business trip and take the little ones with them for the next few weeks. To ensure that we are safe and that Kat is well she makes sure to call everyday.
Once the day was over and it was hitting about 1:00 AM we decided it was time to crash. We all went into our separate rooms and got into bed to welcome a long needed sleep. I lay in my bed wondering what tomorrow will hold before I drift off and succumb to darkness for the night.
