Chapter 4

I stand there in shock as I stare at Lisa's children. There are four boys who look about my age or older and there are two little boys. Her boys are the definition of beautiful. They were all either blonde or black hair and had piercing blue and green eyes.

John comes down to greet his wife with a loving kiss and a few murmured words. The two youngest boys run down and cling themselves to each leg of their mother. Lisa laughs but looks down at them lovingly and kisses each of their foreheads. A pang of longing goes through my heart and i stare down at the ground. I've missed that, the love of my mother.

Once the long overdue reunion of mother and family, they all seemed to turn to me at once and I instantly feel uncomfortable and on edge. Lisa speaks up first "Katherine, would you come over here"

I carefully make my way over avoiding eye contact. "Uhm...Hi" I mumble shyly

Lisa introduces each of her boys to me. Her husband, John, who has blonde hair and bright blue eyes. The oldest, Cody, is 18 and has his mothers black hair and his fathers piercing blue eyes. The twins, Conner and Caden, are 17 and they both have dirty blonde hair. Conner has green eyes while Caden has Blue eyes. The middle, Cole, is 16 my age he also has black hair and a mix of blue/green eyes. The two youngest, Chance and Cameron, Chance is 8 and Cameron is 6 and they both are perfect blonde blue eyed babies.

My heart skips a beat with each of her sons at how heartstoppingly beautiful they are. The one thing I see they share are their arrongant, cocky smirks. Instantly a warning bell goes off in my head saying these boys are total players. All except the two youngest ones of course but Chance has that mischievious look in his eyes. The only one that seems innocent and sweet enough is the youngest Cameron.

Cameron comes running over and crushes himself against my leg squeezing it to death as if I'll disappear any moment. " Your gonna be our new sissy!!" he shouts excitedly. He looks so adorable that I can't stop the smile that comes to my lips as I stare down at this innocent little child.

I hear Lisa's musical laugh that makes me glance up and notice the four oldest just smirking at me and Chance looking at me with an unreadable look. I flush and look back down at Cameron who just giggles and runs off. Leaving only the four oldest, Lisa, and I still outside. Chance must have followed his little brother inside.

Lisa looks at me " Well I'll just leave you teenager to get to know each other" and she walks inside. No! Don't leave me with them! The atmosphere instantly changes and turns into one of awkward silence.

Cole  speaks up first "So what did a beautiful girl like you do to come live with the Parker family?"

 I flush at the word beautiful. I have never once got a compliment so bluntly before. "I..I d-didn't do anything" I stutter out nervously.

Conner laughs "Cole, I think she likes you." I flush an even darker red and stare at the ground with my upmost interest.

Cody steps forward "Alright little brothers let's get her inside before mom comes out"  I couldn't agree more as I scurry my way inside and find myself in a long hallway. I hear the boys chuckling lightly behind me.

I hear what I'm pretty sure was Caden because it's a new voice I haven't yet heard say "Guys you don't have to be so blunt with her. She's obviously going through a changing phase. Besides we know nothing about her."

Then I hear laughter as it gets closer and Cody say, "She does have a sexy body though" after that comment I heard murmurs of agreement. This causes me to flush again. As I walk around I find myself in the kitchen with Lisa cooking dinner.

Wait, Dinner? Has the time gone by that fast?

I shrug it off and clear my throat. Lisa turns around and smiles brightly at me "Katherine. What can I do for you?"

I cringe at the name and politely smile at her " Uhm, if its alright I'd like to find my room so I can put my stuff away. And call me Kat please"

Lisa smiles apologetically, " Of course, Kat. I'll have Cole show you to your room." As she calls Cole into the kitchen she turns back to her cooking " Cole, show Kat to her room please"

Cole "yes, mom" Wow that shocked me. These boys have respect for their mother. I'm still realing from our earlier conversation, if you can call it that. He shows me to my room and stands in the doorway as I walk in and sit on the bed. He's staring at me when I look up and I flush once again.

"Y-yes?" I mutter quietly.

Cole smirks at my uncomfortable state. "If you need anything Conner and Caden are across the hall from you, I'm on your right, and Cody is on the left."

I glance at the ground, Why can't I be by the little ones and not surrounded by hormonal teenage boys?

Cole still stands there as if waiting for a response. "Ok" I say simply hoping to get rid of him. No such luck.

Cole walks into my room and bends down in front of me. "So what's your secret?"

That simple question is what makes it all come flooding back and remember who I am. My eyes harden and I shut out all my nervous emotions about my new enviroment. I stand up causing him to stumble back in shock and I look down at him. I'm about to say something when I hear Lisa call us all for dinner.

I simply walk out of my room and down to the diningroom. We all sit down for dinner, as evryone strikes up a conversation, I seem to be the center topic. What a surprise, not really.

John silences the table and turns to look at me, "So Kat, Why don't you tell us a little about yourself"

Oh great. This is going to be a long dinner.
