Olivia did fall asleep before I left around 8pm. When I got back to my room I realised luca didn't come with me. Shit. Hopefully he doesn't get into any trouble. I don't have the time to go back. I needed to make arrangements for the creature for the term as well as arrangements for the games since they are redoing the blue games over at the boys school along with the red games.
Walking down the hallways someone ran into me and I hit the ground because whoever it was landed on top of me. Looking at the girl that had knocked me over. She looked familiar but I didn't recognise where from. She had long brown hair and bright blue eyes that were glowing. The eyes caught me off guard because they were unnatural.
"Fuck." She spoke before she vanished. Just disappeared I didn't get any other details about her. She was pale. About the same hight as me and glowing blue eyes the only reason I recognised her brown hair was because it fell in my face obstructing my view.
Sitting up I looked around the hallway confused now. Nothing. She literally just disappeared into thin air.
"Hello? Do you need help?" I asked feeling stupid talking to no one. I go no response so I picked my things up getting to my feet. "If you need help you can ask me. I will do my best to help you." I called out before I walked away from the area confused by what just happened. Or who that girl was. Someone with eyes like that would have stood out in any of my classes. Unless she doesn't take monsterology. I keep forgetting not everyone takes that class.
After organising the creatures for the term. I left the creature room to go get some food it was almost 5 here now and I was getting tiered . Without thinking I had headed towards the black tower. The only reason I stopped walking was because I heard talking. Looking up I saw Blake standing there with Ian liking irritated. Why were they here? They shouldn't have arrived until tomorrow. Blake and Ian looked at me now.
"Hey." Blake spoke his tone as different. More relaxed then normal.
"Hey. Why are you guys here?" I asked them approaching them.
"Casey causing problems so dragged her back here." Blake told me.
"So nothing unusual." I said casually he just shrugged looking a little guilty. Something was off about him
"Hey can I ask something?" Blake asked me.
"I guess." I spoke glancing at Ian who just shrugged in confusion.
"So like. Something happened at the start of the holidays. I have been trying to work out what but I just don't know." Blake said scratching his jaw. He looked anxious. It's not like Blake to be anxious.
"What?" I asked him when he didn't continue.
"You know my wolf always viewed you as our mate despite Casey right?" He asked me now
"Yeah?" I said confused tilting my head slightly.
"He stopped loving you." Blake said his eyes were sad now. And the realisation hit me. The love sacrifice it wasn't me. It was him. Oh god. I sacrificed Blake's love for me to close the gate. I- I didn't know what to say. I was in pure shock.
"I-" I paused covering my mouth feeling a tightness in my chest "I'm sorry." I whispered.
"Why it's not your fault. We were broken up. My wolf just wouldn't let you go." Blake said like it was nothing. I shook my head no.
"The gates. I closed another gate over the holidays. Admittedly I closed it in a fit of rage and didn't think it though. But the cost was love. I assumed I would loose my love for Olivia. But that wasn't the case." I said looking at him now. "I was told the love of a wolf is stronger then anything. I- I believe I had accidentally sacrificed the love your wolf had for me." I explained to him still upset about the situation. Blake looked at me slightly shocked now.
"Umm. I guess you expect me to be angry." He said rubbing the back of his head "truthfully I'm grateful. I don't mean that in a bad way. I just. I don't have to fight my wolf constantly now." He told me
"What?" I asked confused now.
"I was always having to compete against him over who to love. And you are obviously aware of my behaviour. Which I very much regret." He said before he sighed now. "Basically this is good now. We can start off on a better foot and be friends again if you like. And I'll make sure to keep Casey in line. Her behaviour is out of control right now I understand that and I'm sorry for the grief she had caused you." Blake continued talking.
"Yeah. I guess that's good then. So friends?" I asked holding my hand out giving him a simple smile.
"Friends." He said taking my hand. "Are you coming up?" He asked me now.
"Oh agh no. I'm no longer the prefect anymore. I am teaching fulltime even though I'm only a student teach and will be fore the next two years I still teach full time here and part time at the girls school now. So I have my own space over near the teachers wing. Not quite there either just because I'm not a teacher and still a student. So halfway between." I explained to them now
"So why are you over this way?" Ian asked now
"Autopilot. I was off in my own world thinking about the plan for the term and didn't realise I was heading the wrong way." I told them
"Wait if you aren't the prefect anymore who is?" Blake asked me
"I believe that will be you. It's still to be decided" i told him cupping my elbows as I folded my arms across my body.
"Are you participating in the black games?" Ian asked now "despite being a teacher?" He asked again
"Again still undecided. The headmaster will make that choice if I am allowed to participate." I said not wanting to elaborate more on it. I won't be allowed to participate I am a white rank. That's against the rules. "Anyway. I have to go complete a few things before classes start." I told them.
"Hey do you need any help this term?" Ian asked I looked at him
"What?" I asked him
"Well I need extra credit because I keep missing classes. So do you offer that?" He asked me. I thought about it for a moment
"You can grade papers I guess." I told him. He looked relived now. "Yeah I mean I have everything else under control. So if you just want to grade the black class papers at the end of the day you can." I told him.
"That's rather easy. I expected you to hit him with the dirty work." Blake said laughing now.
"As much as I would love to. Sadly Ian you just can't handle the creatures alone so I'm not going to make you feed them or clean their habits. So grading papers will free you my time to go to the girls school and start lessons there." I told him. He nodded again
"Thanks. It means a lot." He told me sounding relived now
"Anyway. I'll see you two around." I said before I walked away to go work on some extra things for class work.
At 7pm I went to go get Luca. It was just past midnight at the girls school. Walking though the hallway being as quiet as I could I went to Olivia's room letting myself inside seeing Luca was curled up with Kin. Luca looked at me and I gestured for him to come with me but he ignored me. I frowned now.
"Get your butt over here." I whispered in a stern tone. He gave a low growl of annoyance. "Excuse me. You mind your tone with me. Now let's go. You can't stay here unsupervised" I told him. He just huffed but continued to ignore me.
"Gem?" I heard Olivia mumbled. "Is that you love?" She asked sounding tiered.
"Sorry hun I didn't mean to wake you. I'm trying to get Luca back." I whispered approaching her bed now. She reached out and grabbed my hand as I sat down beside her.
"It's okay." She whispered yawning now. "I can mind him." She added
"He's having a tantrum." I told her she just nodded slightly.
"It's okay. Luca listens to me." She told me. I looked at Luca seeing he looked happy
"Don't you get cocky or you come back with me." I told Luca. Olivia laughed now.
"Cuddle." She whispered I laid down beside her wrapping my arms around her kissing her head. Olivia let out a satisfying moan now snuggling her head into my chest. "You smell bad." She mumbled.
"Well I was trying to get Luca so I could go shower and go to bed myself." I told her yawning now. Olivia didn't move. She just stayed there holding me tight in her arms. "Liv I can't stay." I told her in a gentle tone.
"Yes you can." She mumbled. "I'll wake you up when you have ti go." She told me I didn't want to fight her. I wanted to stay as well.
"You just said I smell and I need to shower." I told her knowing that have shared showers here not their own personal bathrooms like I do.
"It's not that bad." She told me. "Blame me if you get in trouble." She added I sighed a bit giving into her wishes
"This can't happen every night." I told her.
"It won't." She whispered to me before kissing my neck since it was the only place she could reach without moving. Olivia mumbled a small i love you as she snuggled into me more. Damn she was so cute when she was sleepy. Olivia doesn't let her soft side out much. She likes to maintain a more assertive look to herself around people. I didn't even know she had this soft cuddle side until after the whole incident at that covenant. She has been cuddly when she lay down and no one else was around. I dont mind. In fact i love it. I love that she can trust me to relax and let her soft side out. I kissed Olivia on the head holding her close to me before closing my eyes to get some rest.
