THE UNKNOWN LIGHT FLUTTERED IN SUSPICION ABOVE THEM, warily observing Christopher's face, allowing the bright, transcendent hue to wash over his skin, warming his cheeks with the sparkly yellow magic.

Mulan and Killian stepped forward over the stones to stand next to the boy, flanking him in an almost protective manner on either side, eyes darting around the meadow carefully for threats of any sort.

The light dipped down and nearly kissed the tip of Christopher's blushing nose, dimming slightly as it squeaked in happiness, seeming to finally recognize the well-wishing intruder to their magnificent home.

The group looked up and watched as tons of lights appeared in the tree, and the brightness of the meadow returned as the wisps came out of hiding, speaking some language that none of the adults could comprehend.

Mulan drew her sword as they came near, not understanding what their motive was.

"It's okay!" Christopher insisted, putting out an arm to stop her, "They're our friends."

Emma pushed to the near front of the group, "Just how many things are you friends with?" She muttered under her breath rhetorically.

If Christopher heard the remark, it was seemingly ignored as he was too preoccupied with greeting the fae creatures.

"Hello!" He grinned, being squeaked at in response, which caused a small giggle to burst from his lips, "It's been a while, hasn't it?"

The fae folk were nearly impossible to understand, their excitement causing their words to be even faster and pitchier than usual as a few particularly enthusiastic ones whizzed around the boy's head

Killian couldn't even tell what the things really looked like- the bright light they emitted was almost blinding, and made it difficult to spot what their figures were beneath the luminescence.

Christopher seemed to have no trouble conversing with the creatures, though. Perhaps because he, too, was an excitable little light.

"The curse brought us to a different realm, we're all in Storybrooke now-... well- I fell through a portal..." The boy conversed, clearly answering one of the fae's many questions. "Pardon? Yes, she's fine- I expect she's rather worried though."

"Kid, what are we doing here?" Emma reached out an arm and nudged Killian out of the way slightly.

The pirate was careful not to let his boots slip off the edge of the stone he had been planted on- trying his damnedest to heed Christopher's warning and not step on the delicate flowers that surrounded them.
