God Sent.

Ashton's POV

"Well that was good; I think I should go get ready now. Thanks for the food." She flashed the most beautiful smile. When she gets up I nod my head over actually saying "you're welcome".

As she headed upstairs I pulled out my phone and began to just scroll through the media: first Twitter, Snapchat, then Instagram, and finally Just Google articles to make sure our PR for the band is in other terms stable. I stumbled across TMZ's article and photos of Lila and I, saying my quote on quote "New Girl" and "Secret Love Affair". I walked out of the front door to the garden area and called up Cal to see if he's seen the articles.

"Ashton! My best bud! What's going on?" Cal energetically responds.

"So, Lila and I may or may not have gone out together today, not on a date just to get her things for her date she has today and-"

"Dude, she has a date today? Are you okay?" Cal interrupted me laughing after his super funny joke.

"Very funny, anyways the paparazzi found us and started taking pictures and they posted it." I rubbed the back of my head looking up.

"Okay, what's the problem?" he sounded clueless.

"The problem? The problem is Kaitlin, what if she sees this? She is already making it hard for me because of the fact that I'm allowing Lila to even live here." I explain, "I won't lie I'm in such a panic, I don't want to lose my relationship over the paparazzi and their bullshit."

"Okay, Ash calm down, look if you get to her and explain before she probably even sees it then she probably won't even be upset, just explain to her or better yet invite her over once Lila leaves and tell her in person." Cal explained.

"That doesn't sound so bad, but what happens when I explain that I bought Lila an $8,000 dress and $2,000 shoes to go with it?" I sat down at the table near my garden area.

"You dirty dog! You like her!" He laughed heavily.

"No, she's my friend and needed something to wear, so I took her to find something. It wasn't a big deal!" I exclaimed.

"Look I'm going to head over we'll figure it out in person, that and because I have nothing else to do." I heard keys on the other end of the phone, assuming he's heading out now.

"Alright mate see you then." I hang up and sit my phone down only to pick it up again and call Kaitlin.

"Hey, babe! I was just thinking about you!" Kaitlin picked up on the other end.

"Hey my love, I was thinking about you too. What're you up to?" I asked.

"Um, nothing much just out with the girls about to head to a photo shoot, what about you?" she asked. I just sat there thinking about why did I call her exactly?

"Just sitting outside and I was thinking, I just wanted to get to you first..um" I became hesitant to even get the rest of what I was trying to say out.

"Are you breaking u-" before she could even finish that sentence I interrupted.

"God no, of course not. I just wanted to say I went shopping with Lila today and the paparazzis caught us together and their headline was making it out to be more than what it was. We went out to shop for her date that she has for a whole different man today." I held the phone in my hand, tugged at my hair with my other hand, and let out a sigh.

"Um, as long as you're telling me the truth. I- I'm fine, babe really. The media always tries to exploit you guys in the worst ways. I'm okay, really I am. I um have to go though we are about to start taking photo shots. I love you babe. She hung up the phone before I could even get anything else out.

I honestly knew she wasn't okay, I don't know if she was trying to reassure me or herself. I hear a car pull into the driveway and peep through the gating to see it was Cal's Jeep. I opened the gate up and welcomed Cal and Rai. Me and her met for the first time last month, she's quite the character and I found it funny how her best friend works for me. We all walked into the house.

"Hey, I was told she's prepping for her date, could I head up-?" she pointed upstairs and I nodded. She basically ran upstairs.

"So, my bud." he smiled and put his arm around my shoulders. "Almost 10K?" he laughed and I began to shush him because she may hear. I point my head to the front door, and start walking back outside to the garden area.

"Dude, it's not like I really spent it on her. After her date she wants me to return the dress and shoes, so that's what I'm going to do. I can have friends who are girls. Look at you and Rai." I shrugged.

"Touche Touche, but you don't see me spending 10k on Rai, now do you? We still have to figure out what to tell Kay-"

"I already called and told her, I just know for a fact it bothered her, but she kept telling me that it's fine and that she's okay multiple times, and although I should have asked...not once did I ask her if she was alright." I looked at Cal crossing my arms.

"Man, I'd say make it up to her," he responded.

"How so?"

"How about when you return the dress and shoes, use that money to get her something or take her out? Plan something thoughtful I don't know." Cal shrugged.

"You just may be on to something, I'll keep that in mind." I smiled and laughed at Cal.

"Hey, you got any food? I'm starving." he laughed while rubbing his belly.

"Ha! Yeah we should head back inside." Calum and I head back inside when we see Rai walking down the stairs and then Lila...

"Wow, you clean up nice!" Calum laughed walking up to Lila and giving her a hug.

"Cal! Hey! How are you?" She said, hugging him back.

"I'm living, but you, wow, how are you?" he walked back standing next to Rai.

"I'm great, I'm sure Ashton told you where I was heading to." She looked at Cal and then me smiling. She has just the most beautiful smile.

"Yeah, 2 years is a long time." Calum laughed and said "I'm joking!"

"You ass!" She jokingly hit him in the arm and laughed. I walked up to her. She seriously looked God Sent. The dress wasn't even the star of it all. It was just her.

"You look gorgeous, if Colson doesn't act right, I better be on speed dial. I'll be there in a jiff." I said chuckling.

"Noted." she smiled at me "So, it's already 1:37, so I'm going to head out. Ashton, again thank you so much."

"You're welcome" before I knew it or saw it coming Lila's lips landed on my cheek and she headed out the door. I was left shocked and from that moment my entire view of her changed.
