"Well, Ashton what'd you need me to start with first?" I sat my things down on the bed and dusted myself off.
"Here's the list of things to do, while you're doing those things I'll be in my work space as you may know I'm in a band and I need to work on new material." He extends his arm out with a folded piece of paper.
"Yeah, my mom told me, are you guys some type of Indie band or some sort of band that plays for middle aged fat guys in bars?" I took the list from his hand while laughing.
"Haha, very funny. I think that's enough talk for now, you do have a job to get to." He came off a bit stern.
"Jeez just making small talk." I headed out of the room to get started cleaning.
"I'd appreciate it if you'd just stick to your job please." he snarked back walking out of the room.
"Okay, so day one of living in this huge house and he's already catching attitudes. Cool." I said to myself preparing to start working.
30 minutes later of house work. I'm somehow vacuuming his driveway. I do not understand why this is needed in all honesty, it's ridiculous.
A car pulls into the driveway blowing their horn at me. I'm assuming to move out the way so I did. A pale girl with long straight black hair wearing all black walks up to me removing her shades.
"Um, who are you?" She asked with her hand on her hip.
"I'm Lila, and you ar-?" I tried asking her before I was cut off by her.
"What are you doing here exactly?" the sass continued.
"I'm working, now can I ask who you are again?" I decided to get a tone back.
"Look my boyfriend is the owner of this house that's all you need to know. What could you possibly be working on here?" her voice volume started rising and it wasn't appreciated.
"Firstly, your boyfriend is my new boss so whatever you're thinking you can drop it. I'm his new housekeeper so there's no need to think otherwise." I roll my eyes and walk off to go back into the house.
I walked upstairs to get Ashton.
"Ashton, some girl claiming to be your girlfriend is here." I leaned against his work room door.
"Kaitlin?" he questioned.
"Never got her name." I turned around and whispered "she was too busy being a bitch."
"Do you want me to take your jacket?" I put on a fake smile.
"Like I'd want you to touch my thi- Babe!" man Ashton's into two faced chicks, huh.
"Baby you didn't tell you were coming. You know we're supposed to be home." He walked up to her grabbing her by the hips giving her a kiss.
Kaitlin looked at me with a side eye and continued to kiss Ashton a bit more rougher which made me quite uncomfortable. I walked past them and headed upstairs to start straightening up Ashton's room.
Ashton seems like he doesn't even try to clean and it's annoying. I put on gloves because I feel like there's gross things I could possibly run into.
"Aww this is so cute." I picked up a photo with him and two blonde ladies, one young and one older with a little blonde boy. They honestly look so happy.
I spent 15 minutes picking up trash around his room and gathering dirty clothes from his bedroom floor, even found used condoms. I don't know how to feel, it's fucking gross.
I heard a door slam on my way downstairs and based on Ashton's facial reaction either he had a resting bitch face to the max or him and she who shall not be named got into a little disagreement.
"Hey, I know it's none of my business but-"
"You're right, it's none of your business, keep working." he cut me off practically stomping upstairs.
"No need to be rude." I raised my voice a bit while going to take the trash out.
I pull out my phone from my back pocket to call Rai, I could really use a friend's advice right now. So much happened within the last two hours I'm still in shock. I sat outside on the curb while I called her.
"Hello?"
"Bitch! Your mom is the homie for real!" she practically screamed through the phone.
"What do you mean?" I played with the curls in my hair staring at the house across the street.
"She got me to work for Calum Hood! The Calum Hood! You can't see me right now but I'm in actual tears, but you know I had to play it off so I won't get fired the first day." she started to calm down a bit.
"First off I have no idea who tha-"
"Don't you even think about finishing that sentence. Do you not remember the concert we went to in Irvine literally last year." she was so determined to get me to remember but that wasn't gonna happen.
"Well we were in the back..but for the band you liked. That's who my mom got you to work for?" I had my hand on my forehead.
"Uh duh! She's a whole ass goat out here! Calum was already scoping me out so you already know what's gonna go down." she said laughing as if she had a scheme up her sleeve.
"At least you got someone you know of, the guy I work for is hella stern." I looked up towards the sky switching the phone to my other ear.
"Damn that's tough as hell, who is he?" she started laughing.
"Some guy named Ashton Irwin." I spoke in a lost tone.
"Get out of here right now. You don't know who Ashton Irwin is?! He was literally the drummer of the band we went to go see." she let out a huge sigh.
"No fucking way, really? I mean he did say he was in a band but" I shook my head slowly side to side.
"He's Calum's literal bandmate, man little do you know we're living the dream right now, Bella's gonna flip!" She started getting back excited meanwhile I didn't know exactly who Ashton was still.
"Look I gotta go but I'll talk to you later, okay?" I realized I've been outside way longer than I should've been.
"Okay bye! I'm gonna try and get my mans!" She said excitedly and hung up the phone.
I walked inside the house to hear a piano playing upstairs so I went and followed the beautiful ballad. I knocked on Ashton's door even though the door was opened beforehand.
"Um, I just wanted to let you know that I finished everything." I put on a little smile and waved the list in the infront of me.
"Mind running to the grocery store?" he asked.
"In the middle of a pandemic and psychos in the grocery stores, you want me to go there?" I leaned against the door folding my arms.
"Do you want to starve?" He crossed his fingers together and rested his arms on top of the piano.
"Come with?" I simply asked.
"Yeah, so I can be mobbed by paps." he said sarcastically "pft"
"Come onnn, a wig and glasses can work, it did for Clark Kent." I laughed a bit and so did he.
"Yeah, compare me to a kryptonian guy who saves lives on a daily basis." he shook his head laughing.
"So do you..." I walked into the room towards him as he smiled looking down. "So we going?" I put my hand on my hip.
"Where's the wig?"
