Overhearing.

There she was, Kaitlin. Lying on Ash's kitchen island trying to be sexy in lingerie. I felt a bit weirded out so I set the groceries down and let them talk this out while I went for the rest of the groceries.

10 minutes passed, I grabbed the remaining groceries and wondered what the fuck I had just witnessed. I locked the car and headed inside, locking the house door right behind me.

"Maybe if you appreciated me more, I wouldn't have to do shit like this!" I heard Kaitlin yelling.

"Maybe if you didn't act like you're Paris Hilton or something and maybe be human we wouldn't be in this situation, now would we?" I heard Ashton say as I peeped my head a bit to see Ash with his hand on his hip.

Kaitlin took a deep sign and rolled her eyes.

"Ashton, look at me!" she grabbed his chin to face her.

"I'm looking." He said with a tiresome low tone voice.

"Baby, look at my face, look at what I'm wearing, can you not see I did this for you? I love you!" she sounded as if she was about to cry but I doubt she wants to ruin her makeup.

The ice cream fell out of the bag onto the floor making a sound leading Ash and Kaitlin to catch me eavesdropping. Kaitlin looked as if she wanted to kill while Ash shook his head and laughed a bit.

"Pft, ice cream just has a mind of its own." I awkwardly laughed it off picking up the ice cream carton.

"Eavesdrop much?" Kaitlin stared me down.

"Eavesdrop? Me? Nooo.." I picked up the ice cream carton losing my balance and hitting my shoulder blade into the wall.

"Just leave the groceries." Ash gave me a hand gesture to just leave the groceries down. I dropped them and took myself and my embarrassment upstairs.

I lay in the bed and called my mom to let her know how my day went and asked when the rest of my things are coming. After a 30-minute call with my mother, I just lay in bed and stare at the ceiling thinking about if this was day one what the fuck will next week or even next month will be like. I don't know if I can handle a jealous girlfriend and "paps".

I walked outside onto the terrace to look at the beautiful view of the City Of Angels. I started rethinking about this situation and things like this make me not see the bad in life but relaxes me and brings in peace.

I suddenly hear giggles from what I presume is Ash and Kaitlin below me.

"You promise to love me forever?" Kaitlin asked in a soft spoken tone.

"Forever." Ashton responds with a soft laugh and maybe a kiss from what I hear.

I hear giggles and laughter from them. It's quite heartwarming even if Kaitlin is quite some work. It got back silent so I thought about saying something but just when I was about to speak I began to feel a bit awkward as I overheard soft moans and more laughing.

"No way no way this is not happening, did they forget I was here?" I whispered with panic in my voice.

"What about the housekeeper?" Ashton tried whispering to Kaitlin.

"What about her?" Kaitlin gasped for breath.

"She's still in the house. What if she sees us or hears us?" he also sounded out of breath. Gross.

" "What ifs" make life worth living." she softly laughed and sounded like they planned on doing more so I went back into my room and closed the balcony's door, jumped in my bed and blasted music into my airpods, blocking out any possible noise from them.

4 mins later I feel a tap on me and open my eyes to see Ashton. I took my earbud out curious to why he's here. My mind also wondered did they really just have sex for about 4 minutes...not impressive, not impressive at all.

"Yeah?" I sat up on the bed stretching my arms out.

"Look, um I know you heard us fucking around but-" he said standing brushing his fingers through his hair.

"I'm sorry? I didn't hear anything." I lied right through my teeth.

"I heard your balcony door close so I know you were out there if you're going to work for me. My number one rule is to never lie to me." his voice sounded more stern-toned.

"Okay fine, yes I heard you two but it's not like I was eavesdropping or anything if anything I wanted to unhear the little parts I did hear. I was just trying to get some fresh air." I looked down playing with my fingers.

"Look I know Kaitlin can come off as rude-" he sat down on the bed.

"Yeah! No kidding." My eyes widened looking towards him

Ashton broke out a smile which made me laugh a bit. I don't know why but when anyone smiles or laughs I end up laughing joke or not. Me laughing eventually led him to laugh and me and him just laughed for about 2 minutes straight.

"Hey, where's Kaitlin anyways?" My laugh started to fade out.

"Um she had to go. Getting late I guess." He lifted his eyebrows up looking away.

Feeling awkward from the silence I put my phone on the charger and plug up all of my things

"Ohh, well I should really get some rest, today was pretty exhausting." I laughed a bit preppeing my covers.

"Oh okay well I hope your first day here wasn't too much on you." he rubbed the back of his head getting up from the bed.

"No, I mean it started off a bit much but I guess the day sailed out smoothly." I smiled a bit with my fingers interlacing infront of me.

"Yeah, I apolo-"

"Stop, I promise it's fine. Plus work isn't suppose to be easy, I like challenges." I made hand gestures as I talked.

"Well... okay then..I'll keep that in mind." he put his hands in his pockets swaying.

"I'll um let you get some sleep. You're gonna need it!" he smiles a bit, lifting his eyebrows once more.

"Goodnight Ashton." I simp smiled. Fixing my bedding to get comfortable.

"Goodnight Lila...Oh, and Welcome to the house." he smiled walking out the bedroom door.

I smiled and reached for my lamp to turn off the light and to sleep I went.
