Finally prevailing against Mendez, you were given a glimmer of hope. It was a small step, but a step nonetheless. You sauntered behind Leon and Ashley. Your mind wandered as memories shook it for all it was worth. You let out a sigh, before blinking away the past and peeking through your lashes to the present.

Leon had glanced a few times behind him, noticing your glazed eyes.

"Everything alright, Cadou?" You peeked your head up to the back of his head.

"Yeah- yes, I'm fine." You reply. Finally, your eyes focused on one of the largest buildings you've seen. Lost in your tracks, you hadn't realized you had joined Ashley beside Leon.

You felt a hand on your shoulder, "hey everything's gonna be alright." It was Leon's voice. The voice that had kept you focused from the start of this. Your e/c orbs met his before you nodded in thanks.

"Appreciate it." You spoke softly before the three of you made it to a door. Slowly you made your way through the quiet bricked corridors. They feel so familiar, you thought.

Soon the three of you had arrived in some sort of courtyard and there was suddenly a familiar voice.

"Leon!" It was Luis, jogging, seemingly out of breath.

"Luis." Leon acknowledged.

Luis spoke up again, "oh I almost forgot, I got something for you guys." He begins digging around his pockets from front to back, "--what? oh shit! I must've dropped it when I was running away from there."

"Dropped what?" Ashley asks, taking the question from your own mouth.

Luis looks to the three of us each, "a drug that'll stop your convulsions. Look, I know you're carriers. You've been coughing up blood, right?"

Leon's brow furrows, "yeah.." he answers for us. Luis looks to me and Ashley.

"Damn it! The eggs have hatched. We don't have much time." Luis exclaims.

"What the hell do you mean?" you ask. Luis immediately turns around before answering.

"I have to go back and get it." He starts to walk away. He seemed honest enough, you had half a mind to follow him.

"let me come with you." Your voice rang out impulsively, taking a step in his direction. However, he immediately stops you, "no you stay here with Leon. He is better with the ladies, im sure." You sighed understanding he didn't want your company.

With that Luis made his way in the opposite direction leaving the three of you amongst yourselves.

"Let's head out then," Leon spoke before turning on his heel in the opposite direction, Ashley in tow.

Eventually, you'd made it inside a huge building that resembled a museum of sorts. You couldn't help but hear a loud ugly laugh that sounded like it was coming from all sides.

"Tell me I'm not hallucinating and there's a laughing ghost about." You spoke, half sure of what you'd just said. Ashley chuckled before Leon replied.

"Nope you haven't gone crazy quite yet, then again you did wake up without actually waking up." His head leans to the side while looking over at you. Your brows furrow at his words, and you wondered just how much he knew about The three of you made it up a beautiful staircase before the laugh ruined its beauty.

"I was starting to wonder when you might notice us." A shorter man stalked his way out into view above the three of you. A large metal bar separates you from him.
