Chapter 22 : The best hatchday gift

(Icy's POV)

I slowly woke up and opened my eyes, this bed felt way better compared to the one in the guild, I wiped away my drool and woke the others up. I still couldn't believe during the time we went to Sky Peak, Blossom got herself a baby...and she seemed to be quite fond of taking care of it.

"Goodbye big sis Leafy! Goodbye big bro Owen!" I shouted at them after Spark and I got packed. "Blossom, you sure you don't want to come?" I asked. "Normally I'd like to, but now I have to take care of Matt, have fun during your date!" she said to me. "Blossom, it's not a date!" I yelled at her. "Yay! Aunt date!" Matt said and hugged Blossom.

"You kids ready?" Brick asked. "Yeah" I we both said, Brick was bringing another load of drinks with him, while all of us brought some heavy coats with us, since we were going to somewhere very cold. Half an hour later, we met up with Marley and Andrew, after that, we all departed for Blizzard Island.

"Psst...hey Icy, you figured out anything yet?" Brick asked. "No, Brick, Spark has been really quiet, there wasn't a way for me to ask him about what was wrong either" I whispered back, then Brick let out a sigh.

"Icy, I know that you don't want Spark to be like this, you have to figure out a way to let him tell you whats wrong" Brick whispered. "Brick, do you have any good methods to do that?" I asked, then he hesitated a bit. "Icy, I do have a way, but promise me not to tell your parents that I let you do this" he whispered.

"Bricky, what are you talking about?" Marley asked. "Icy, if you want this to work, you better give me your full cooperation, because this is partially a crime" Brick whispered. "Want what to work?" Spark asked. "Nothing" I replied.

"Where are we going?" Spark asked. "Serenity River, there's a new ride there you can take across the sea" Brick replied, a few minutes later, we arrived at the end of Serenity River, and a familiar blue mon was there.

"Hey Lapras, you work here too?" I asked. "Hello Icy, glad to see you again, I quit my job because Dialga didn't pay me enough, but since I know you already, you and Spark get to come for free" she replied.(don't ask me where she puts the poke')

We arrived at Blizzard Island in the evening, Lapras told us that she'd be waiting for us to go back. Later, we found a small resting station on the freezing island owned which was owned by a Vanillite, he was kind enough to let us stay  for the night. "Stick to the plan" Brick whispered to me, then he went to set up our tent.

"Ok, this isn't going to be easy, I'm so excited and nervous at the same time" I thought to myself and took out two bottles Brick gave me. "Go on, give one to Spark, it's not like you can be charged for doing illegal at your age, Icy" I said to myself, then slowly padded towards Spark.

"Icy, what are you doing?" Spark asked, then I stuffed him a bottle and popped mine the other one open. "Brick said that you weren't feeling you, and having one of these can cheer you up" I replied.

"Ok...? But isn't aren't we underage?" he asked. "Spark, it's not like we can get into any trouble. I got an idea, let's have a contest, and see who can finish the bottle first and get a next one" I replied. "Icy, I really don't like this idea" he said. "Seems like I have to do it first, Brick told me not to drink it too fast, but at least mine is only 5%, while the one I gave him was 16%" I thought to myself.

  "Alright Spar, I'll start first!" I said to him, then drank a bit of mine, it tasted a little bitter, but also sweet. "What does it taste like?" he asked. "It's Bluk berry flavor, and it tastes really good" I replied. "I guess trying a bit wouldn't hurt" he said then started drinking his. "Good, now I only have to wait till he get's drunk" I thought to myself as a smile formed on my face.
