Chapter 11 : The thief

(Clover's POV)

"Everymon, come to the guild hall right now!" I heard Chatot yell from the guildmaster's office, we had just eaten our breakfast a bit earlier, "Oh no, I hope it's not another of those gears missing, especially not the one in Fogbound lake" I thought to myself.

"Everymon, I have some news to tell you, the time gear at Fogbound lake has been stolen by Grovyle, Uxie has been badly wounded and Officer Magnezone's crew is protecting him now, time around the world has begun to slow down" said Chatot.

"What?" "Who didn't keep their mouth shut?" "Who broke the promise?" mons were arguing in the hall, as me and Owen exchanged worried glances.

"Guildmaster Wigglytuff, I believe you told me a different story about Fogbound lake, and your story did not include a time gear" I heard a deep voice say. "Sorry Dusknoir, but all of us promised Uxie, the guardian of the gear not to tell anymon about the gear, so I kept it a secret, however somemon must have spilled it" said guildmaster. "I understand, we must take action right away guildmaster, could you please assign duties for us to look for the rest of the gears and guard them?" asked Dusknoir. "Armaldo Sensei is still recovering from his shell crack, so I believe I need your knowledge about this, could you please tell the guild your opinion about this? I'll let you assign the duties" asked the guildmaster, Dusknoir nodded.

"Guild, the great Dusknoir has some announcements to make" said Wigglytuff, and the guild became quiet.

"We got some sad news about the time gears, we should take action right now, there are some places which are quiet unknown on this island, I'll be going to be going to Crystal cave, and I'll assign teams to look for a time gear in each palce I know" said Dusknoir.

Me and Owen ended up being sent to Northern desert while other teams went to other locations, and Dusknoir told the kids to remain. "Dusknoir, we want to help, even if it's only a bit" said Blossom, "Me too" said Spark and Icy, making Dusknoir let out a sigh.

"Fine, Spark you may go with Owen and Clover, as for Blossom and Icy, you can accompany me  to Crystal cave if you wish, but be careful Owen, Clover and Spark, the Northern desert is known for having vicious sandstorms" he said, then we nodded and left for it.

"Mommy, is there something that I can ask you about?" asked Spark when we were on our way there. "Yes Spark, what is it?" I asked. "When you were away on your expedition and Mr.Armaldo was taking care of us, we found out some...things that we didn't know...and we'd rather not know" Spark's voice trailed off.

"Spark, it can't be that bad" said Owen. "Dad, when we lived with Mr.Armaldo, we found him eating other pokemon, we tried to run away after we saw him do it, but he told us later that he was a carnivore...and so was I, and there'd be one day that I'll have to kill and eat other pokemon to survive" said Spark.

"Spark, I'm sorry that you had to hear that, it is the truth...but you still have quite some time to figure out what you can do at that time, hopefully technology can give you something to eat instead of meat at that time" said Owen. "Thanks dad...." said Spark.

"Let's change the topic Spark, you like her don't you?" I asked. "Huh? W-who? I don't know who you're talking about mom"  he replied, seeing his face turn pink, I giggled a bit. "Spark, you know who I'm talking about, since it's pretty obvious to everymon else, even after you fainted to her draining kiss, you had a satisfied look on your face" I said. "W-what?" his face turned even redder.

"Don't worry Spark, your personality is quite like your dad, he even fainted when I told him that I liked him, and he was really shy plus he was a scaredy Eevee when we first met" I said. "Leaf!" I heard Owen say, and I just laughed.
