Chapter 23 : Ün-ün-ün

(Clover's POV)

I slowly opened my eyes and yawned, I could see that it was already morning outside, while I had a small trickle of drool hanging on the edge of my mouth. My neck hurt a lot, since I fell asleep with my head rolled back, I got on my paws, wiped away my drool and took a look at Owen.

The Fluffeon was still snoring next to me, he was also drooling with no sign of waking up. "Wow, we must have been so tired yesterday if we slept like this, he looks so cute when he's sleeping though" I thought to myself and gently nudged my sleeping boyfriend.

"I think we were wrong about this key being the right one" Lopunny muttered while team Charm was trying to fit a key into the key hole of the door, all three of them tried once but none of them could open the door successfully. "Really? We left the kids at home, spent a day coming here, and now we're stuck?" I thought to myself as I saw Lopunny take back the key.

"Hello friends, what's wrong?" guildmaster said and hopped towards us. "Wigglytuff dear, this door doesn't seem to be budging the slightest bit" Lopunny explained. "Friends, why use the key, when we can just open the door?" he said. "Huh? What do you mean?" Owen asked, then guildmaster gestured all of us to step to the sides.

"What are you doing, guildmaster?" I asked, then I stepped back even more. "He's not going to blow the door open, is he? Surely that's a fast way...but that would be...weird" I thought to myself. Then guildmaster simply pulled the door, then it opened. "Wigglytuff dear, you're the best! we'll see you later!" Lopunny said to him and hopped in. "Seriously...has nobody tried opening it by pulling it?" I thought to myself and padded in with Owen and the other guild members.

We went into the cave, there was a stone tablet with weird carvings on it, along with a few holes on the side of it, shaped like a few unknowns. "Floof. let's go and find these in the dungeon, they should be in the dungeon somewhere" I said to him and prepared to go into the tunnel ahead.

"Floof? I called out, but he still stood there. "Hey Leaf, if the last one was opened that easily, what do think about this one?" he asked. "I guess you could give it a try" I said to him, then he stepped back a little bit, then he used flame charge at the stone tablet, after that, I heard some cracking sounds.

"Floof, are you alright?" I asked, hoping that it didn't hurt him. "Leaf, look! There's a staircase under the tablet" he exclaimed, when the smoke cleared, I saw the tablet toppled over, while some stairs were lined up under it. "Good job, Floof! Let's go!" I exclaimed and went in.

We got downstairs and saw a statue in front of us, it had seven dots on it lined up in a cross, while it looked like a crystal and an ice cube at the same time. "If you want to go forward, touch the statue and show me you power" said a voice without any intonation change.

"Leaf, do you think we should touch it?" Owen asked. "I guess we will, I don't see any other paths out of this place, we run away whenever we want anyway" I replied and touched the stone. There were no changes at first, then came some rumbling, followed by a few pebbles falling off the statue. "Leaf, is it just me, or is the statue moving?" my friend ask, which was true, the statue seemed to be coming to life.

"Reg-regice" the statue screeched, then the room started rumbling. "Floof, look!" I pointed at the staircase with my paw, it was folding itself back, then the roon me were in was lit up by the same formation of light showed on the statues face. "Seems like we have to fight here" Owen said then we prepared ourselves to fight the statue.

(battle start)

The statue turned light blue, then it glowed white with an orb of white in front of it. "Ice beam!" I shouted, then Owen blocked the beam with his flamethrower. "Let's not fight this thing directly, we don't know what it is yet" Owen said while we split up on both sides.
