Chapter 26 : Dark void

(Owen's POV)

I opened my eyes, feeling fully refreshed and energetic. "Wow, that was the best sleep I've ever had in my life!" I thought to myself, and saw Clover and Icy still sleeping next to me, purring in their sleep, while Cresselia was floating in the room.

"Did you enjoy your sleep?" she asked. "Yeah!" I replied, and looked outside, it was already evening. "The Shinx and Manaphy are already out, they seemed to be visiting a friend of yours since you were all sleeping" she replied, and I stood up.

"Guess I've been sleeping for a while" I muttered and I was going to wake up my two friends. "Yeah, you've been sleeping from yesterday morning till this evening" she said to me. "Oh ok" I replied, then it hit me. "WAIT?! Yesterday morning?!" I exclaimed, and that woke up my two sleeping friends.

"Floof...why do you have to be so loud? I was having a great sleep..." Clover muttered. "Leaf, we've been asleep for more than one day, it's the afternoon of the tomorrow!" I replied. "Wait, what?!" the two of them exclaimed and jumped out of be immediately. "You better get yourselves dressed and eat up, we're going to Dark Crater" Cresselia said to us. "Oh yeah right, now I remember" I thought to myself.

We prepared ourselves, we took out some food we stored and ate them, I then went upstairs and saw Brick there along with a Mawile. "Hey Brick, nice to see you, and hello, you must be Marley, Icy told me about you" I greeted the two of them.

"Nice to meet you Owen!" Marley said and gave me a smile, then she shook my paw. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "Well, guildmaster told me to help you, and said that it might help my relationship with Chatot, so I came here, you sure slept for a long time" Brick said to us. "Brick is going with you, I'm staying here so he can get a chance to prove himself" Marley added. "So...I guess guildmaster figured stuff out even without any of us telling him about it" I thought to myself.

I then told Clover and Icy about who came to visit us, and told Cresselia that we had extra assistance. Icy dashed up and gave them a hug, while Cresselia accepted the new ally. "Marley, are you sure that you don't want to go?" Icy asked. "Bricky is strong, he'll be fine without me!" Marley said and gave him a smile.

"Darkrai is a dark type, while you are a fairy type, the Breloom is the only one strong against him, are you sure that you aren't going?" Cresselia asked Marley. "If he's a dark type then..." Brick muttered and looked at Marley. "I guess going with him wouldn't hurt, and it would probably give him the ability to prove his teamwork skills to Chatot!" Marley said, then decided to join us.

"So...how are we going to go there?" Clover asked. "Are we going on Lapras? Her fees aren't cheap and she's pretty slow you know?" Brick asked. "No, I'm going to take you there" Cresselia said to us. "What do you mean take us there?" I asked, then I felt myself float into the air, and saw the others also floating. "Off we go!" Cresselia said to us, then we flew towards the sea.

Icy buried her head in my main so that she wouldn't see how high we were flying, the floating experience was amazing, we saw water type pokemon leaping out of the sea while the wind blew on my face, we arrived at a fiery island not long after. "Wow, that was amazing!" Clover exclaimed. "Wait...we were flying...? And we were in the sky? Wasn't I afraid of heights? Well, good thing I forgot that I was scared of it" I thought to myself.

Later, we found in front of the entrance of huge cave. "This is Dark Crater, we're facing Darkrai here, there's no telling what he has in store for us" Cresselia said to us and headed in, then we followed her, going into the cave full of fire types.

We got through the first place without a problem, I absorbed all of the upcoming fire type attacks, then we went through another dungeon, also filled by fire types, until we arrived at a pit deep underground, surrounded by swirling lava from all places except the path we came from. "I don't like the heat here...big bro Owen" Icy muttered and sweat was all over her exploration suit, the others except for me and Cresselia were all like her. "It's the same for us too, Icy. But Darkrai chose such a place, maybe it's part of his plan to weaken us" Clover replied.
