season 1 episode 1

Sadie was annoyed. Her younger brother was an absolute idiot and now instead of having a nice relaxing night at home she's stuck in the woods trying not to get herself, Stiles and his friend killed. How did this happen? Her brother's an idiot.

Stiles overheard their father's call and found out two joggers saw HALF of a dead body somewhere in the woods and Stiles being the idiot he is, decided he wanted to find it himself. So of course he had to force me and Scott to come along. Oh, did I mention Stiles is an idiot?

"What are we looking for again?" Scott asked, clutching onto his inhaler as we went further into the forest. It was really dark outside and all we had was our phones and a flickering flashlight to light up the way.

"Dead body" I responded, trying my best not to trip over the wet leaves. It had rained in the evening leaving the whole forest damp and wet.

"Half a dead body" Stiles corrected, enthusiastically.

"Right, because that's so much better isn't it?" I rolled my eyes, my brother is an idiot.

"Are we seriously doing this Stiles? I mean what do we even know about the victim?" Scott asked, breathing heavily. The poor boy suffered from asthma, this trek probably wasn't a good idea, then again my brother is an idiot.

"Just that it's a girl, probably in her twenties"

"I was trying to get a good night's sleep before practice tomorrow Stiles," Scott exclaimed and Stiles snickered loudly.

"Right because sitting on the bench requires such a gruesome effort"

"I'm playing this year, in fact, I'm gonna make first line" Now it was my turn to laugh.

"No offence Scott, but you suck"

"Thanks Sadie" Scott said rolling his eyes. I only shrugged in response as my idiot brother spoke,

"Hey, that's the spirit. Everyone should have a dream, even a pathetically unrealistic one."

"Just out of curiosity, which half of the body are we looking for?" Scott asked, ignoring Stiles' remark and my idiot brother spoke once again,

"Huh! I didn't even think about that"

"Stiles what the hell?  What if whoever killed the body is still out here?" I asked, staring at my brother in disbelief.

"Also something I didn't think about." Stiles admitted, slightly embarrassed.

"We're gonna die here" I said.

"It's comforting to know you've planned this out with your usual attention to detail." Scott said, catching his breath while we climbed up a hill. For whatever reason it was, my brother decided to speed up, leaving both me and Scott panting like dogs to catch up to his pace. When we reached to the top, Scott looked like he was gonna pass out. His breathing was rapid and wheezy.

"Maybe the severe asthmatic should be the one holding the flashlight, huh?"

Scott leans his back against a nearby tree as he pulls his inhaler out of his pocket. Then when we see a handful of people ahead of us waving flashlights around as part of the search, we dive behind a large fallen tree branch and plan our next move, turning off the flashlight so we don't attract attention. Unfortunately for us, my idiot brother's impatience eventually wins out, and he whispers back to Scott as he jumps up and runs toward the action.

Both Scott and I try calling out to him without attracting the attention of the search party but it's no use, Stiles was too far ahead to hear us.

He finally hears our last attempt to call out his name, but the split second of distraction caused the nearby officer to start shouting at him, scaring him so much that he falls backwards on the ground. The deputy with the search dog immediately points his flashlight at Stiles as he tries to recover from the shock.
