"Hey."
"Hi?"
"Wanna make a deal?"
"What is it?"
"I can get you out of this Nightmare."
"At what cost?"
"I want y-"
The voice was cut off by Kat waking up. It was a Dream.
"Another horrible day I suppose."
Strange... I don't usually have dreams with Nightmare's magic. I don't even have dreams only... Kat observed.
I'll ask him later- don't. A new thought. One that wasn't theirs interrupted.
Who are you? Kat thought it was stupid, but asked in their head anyway, knowing there wouldn't be a response.
Another day of training. But this time it was different.
"Hey kid." Killer said.
"Hey. Where's Nightmare?" Kat asked.
"He's out today." Killer said.
"K. What's he doing?" Kat asked curiously.
"I don't know. Not my business." Killer said with a shrug. Kat noticed he was holding a knife.
"But don't think you're let off the hook today. He asked us to battle you today." Killer said.
Dust was ease dropping and looked oddly excited to fight Kat.
"How am I supposed to win against 3? And I can't even attack." Kat said.
"Beats me. I think all you gotta do is get an object on this side of the castle. He told me to explain it to you like a one way capture the flag. But I don't know what that is, so." Killer explained.
"Huh. Seems simple enough. What's the catch?" Kat said. It reminded them of the Dream they had the previous night.
"We're trying to kill you." Killer said holding his knife.
"There it is." Kat said.
*It has begun.
Kat found themselves sprinting down the hall. Running away from 3 psychos trying to kill them. Wonder what the 4th one's doing.
*You jinxed it.
He sped out the door in front of you with a knife 50 times the size of killer's.
"Seriously?" Kat said. Cross slammed the knife to the ground causing the floor to cave in.
"Boss said not to mess up the castle!" Dust reminded Cross.
"I won't tell him if you won't!" Cross said. And...was he smiling? He always seemed like he didn't talk much, but then again, Kat never bothered to talk to him. (Or maybe the creator couldn't think of any lines.)
"Stop breaking the 4th wall!" Killer said to Kat. Kat jumped up above the caved in floor, which was now red for some reason. Kat was trapped between the 3 Murder Sanses and Cross. They only had less than a second before they hit the ground on the caved in floor.
Kat somehow managed to parkour off the wall next to Cross and jump behind him and continue running.
"How tf is nightmare not gonna notice a giant hole in the ground!?" Kat yelled behind them continuing the previous conversation about not telling Nightmare.
The 4 skeletons stopped.
*You don't think they thought that part through.
The ugly depression continued to run after Kat despite unintentionally giving them a head start.
They stopped once more. Kat looked back.
"Oh ya, and boss said only you could go past this point." Killer said pointing to the surprisingly straight line carved on the ground.
"K nice." Kat said walking away. The skeletons all started walking away as well peering behind themselves to make sure Kat wasn't gonna try anything. Again, they can't do anything anyways. Kat tried to find another way back, because there were quite a few ways to get to the same place, but there were only four, one for each piece of garbage. Nightmare really thought this one through hasn't he?
Once Kat was out of view of the idiots, something caught their eye. A vent. Sus. And totally useful. Kat then remembered that for some reason, there's a knife set in. Every room, so they grabbed a set and put them on their conveniently placed belt.
*You got a knife belt!
Kat made sure that the belt wouldn't make too much noise and was lightweight before opening the vent and going in. Sometimes shortness is useful. They tried to remember the hallways and took the least amount of detours as possible until they were right above the flag, which was a plastic bottle on a bone, but it would do. Now that Kat was thinking about it, they didn't even know how to fight... why would they even bring knives?
If a blind man had a gun, and a guy experienced in Samurai got a sword, the blind man wouldn't stand a chance. Doesn't matter. Not like it's hurting them. Kat kicked the vent open and fell through the celing of the throne room. They carefully put the vent down so it wouldn't make much noise. The flag! They carefully went to the top of the stairs and behind the thrown, and before getting the bottle, they checked for traps with their new knife set.
"Gotcha!" Kat said triumphantly.
They may have had to reach up on their tippy toes but they got it.
The 4 pieces of trash came tumbling into the thrown room.
"How'd they get it!" Cross said confused.
"Our plan was full proof..." Killer said disappointingly. And that's when Kat found out that they had the ability to hug. Horror and Killer were sniffling while hugging each other.
"Would you two stop being crybabies?" Dust said rolling his eyes. He too was holding back tears.
"And plus, the game still ain't over yet..." Dust said, as a broken bone appeared in his hand.
"They still have to take it back to their side..." Dust made his creepy face.
*You hated Dust's creepy face.
"Killer now!" Cross signaled. Killer pulled something from behind his back... it was the abomination from the other night! He threw it at Kat.
*IT has returned.
Cat, I mean, Kat reflexively jumped back and hissed.
The whole squad's laughing.
"It reminds me o' boss when someone touches him!" Dust exclaimed.
"W-w-w-Wait. Let me try..." Dust proceeded to hold up one finger and touch them on the shoulder.
"I think the boss rubbed off on them!" Killer exclaimed.
*You were being bullied.
*This is Kat abuse :,(
But Kat still had an ace in the hole. Hostages. Kat lifted their Jacket to reveal the knives.
"Whatcha gonna do with those? Throw them at me?" Killer asked entertained.
"Not quite..." Kat dropped the knife on the abomination, careful not to look at it. The knife shattered like glass.
"No! Jorge!" Killer said as he fell to his knees.
"Let me pass, or- what's this one's name?" Kat asked.
"Grace." Killer responded.
"-Or grace is next."
Killer reluctantly agreed but the other skeletons weren't too happy.
Kat sprinted through the halls making sure all four were still chasing them. A dead end.
Na. Just a vent.
Advantages of being short 179.
Kat went into the vent, and the other skeletons couldn't follow.
"Little $h!t!" Dust yelled.
Kat snickered as they went through the vent.
Then a knife went through the vent, it almost hit Kat's face if they didn't stop.
"Is there blood on it?"
"Can I have it if it does?" Definitely Horror.)
"No." A voice said as the knife got pulled out.
A rat!
Kat looked. They've been in the awful place, that if any place is truly awful there had to be rats.
Rat. It was cute, but it had to be sacrificed. Kat scared the rat with a knife and sent it on it's way.
"Their going!" Horror yelled and all four of the skeletons chased the rat down the hallway.
At least Horror wouldn't eat them?
Kat kept going until they were on their side of the castle and hopped from the ceiling.
Now it was time to wait until the murderous garbage realized the sound was a rat.
