Screw that.

Kat waited by the line surprisingly straight line on the floor.
"Stupid kid." Kat heard down the hall.
*It sounded like Dust.  Or Cross.
Judging by the tone of voice, it was probably Dust.
"Don't worry. I have a plan." It sounded like Killer.
"Hey kid. . ." Cross said.  They looked like a gang of cheesy Jocks who thought they were cool, but usually ended up with horrible grades and getting held back a year.  And another.  Until everyone in their original class graduated and they're still in seventh grade.  Doesn't matter.
"Killer now!" Dust said.
Killer then proceeded to throw the abomination at Kat.  They then hissed and jumped away.
"Gold." Horror said.
"Now that the games over... does that mean we still have to use this line?" Dust said pretending that he was thinking.
"4uck." Kat said as they started sprinting down the hall.  The murderous skeletons were on their tail.  They had to think of a way to get them off their back...
What was even worse was that they couldn't look back because Killer refused to let go of the abominable sqwoosh, that Kat couldn't bare to look at.
Kat then saw a door way.  They pulled the classic 'hide so they think you kept going move and after the murder trash was in front of them,'rather than chasing them.  They went in the opposite direction as the murder trash.
Maybe I can find somewhere to hide til' Nightmare gets back.  Not like it's gonna make a difference when he does. Kat thought.
Kat searches the castle for a place and the only thing they could think of was the roof.
*You felt sus.
Kat vented to the roof.
Kat flinched.  As they were venting, they leaned on their ankle.
Kat bit their lip, probably just rolled it. Should go away in a day or two.
*Despite what you hoped, you know it was a little worse.
"This is a lot scarier than I remember." Kat said aloud, knowing the murder trash wasn't able to hear them.
"Oh well.  Might as well sit here." Kat said finally getting a chance to rest.  They also decided not to fall asleep considering that the roof is slanted and there's a bunch of murderous skeletons behind them.  (They probably would die anyway if the murder garbage found them anyway.)
Kat blinked.
"Oh-$h!t!" Kat said.  They almost fell off the roof.  Nightmare did one of his freaky instant teleports.
"I told you not to go up here." Nightmare said grabbing Kat with his tentacle.  Kat hated when Nightmare did this.
"Would you stop doing that!" Kat said, which Nightmare completely ignored.
They gooped into the throne room.
"Did ya like the training exercise?" Nightmare asked after dropping Kat.  Kat felt that they were fully capable of landing it by now, yet they still fell.  Probably because of their ankle.  Should be fine, just rolled it.
"Oh ya, I absolutely enjoyed having a bunch of skeletons try and murder me. Ya know.  All in good fun." Kat said sarcastically.
"Great." Nightmare said ignoring the sarcasm.
"Where are those idiots anyway?" Nightmare said.
"That's our cue!" Killer yelled.
The murderous garbage came running with...? At least five each, abominations.
Kat jumped back and hissed, almost like Nightmare who did it twice as fast, but not before making an attempt to destroy the 'cute' little $h!ts.
All of the murder garbage roared up in laughter.
*The smell of murder fills the air.
_____________
Kat laid in 'their' bed staring up at the ceiling.
They decided that walking around wasn't the best option this time around, so they just laid there doing nothing.
Everytime they tried to go to sleep, a horrible memory flashed across their otherwise slightly pleasant thoughts, jolting them awake, so they just laid there doing nothing.
"I. hate. Everything." Kat said aloud. They guessed it was just one of those days. They couldn't even simply go to sleep. They just got chased by a bunch of murderous skeletons. Then they decided to pull out the abomination, multiple if that.
"Me too." Nightmare said magically appearing where he was least wanted. And there are tons of people who really don't like him.
"What do you want?" Kat asked miserably.
"Someone's having trouble sleeping again." Nightmare said, giving the suggestion that it might be Kat.
"Go away." Kat said.
"Rather not." Nightmare said.
"4uck you."  Kat said.
"Thanks." Nightmare said as though he got a nice complement.
"Allow me this one moment of peace." Kat said annoyed.
"Na." Nightmare said annoyingly.
"What do you want though? Do you just go where you're least wanted?" Kat asked.
"Pretty much." Nightmare said shrugging.
"I just wanna help." Nightmare said responding to the first question.
"No. Not gonna happen." Kat said.
"Hm. That sounds familiar. Isn't that what you said last time?" Nightmare asked knowing the answer.
Kat rolled their eyes.
*You shot a hatful look at Nightmare.
"You're gonna be up all night if I don't help." Nightmare said exaggerating his empathy. Not that he has any.
"4uck you." Kat said in not any way enthusiastic.
Nightmare responded by showing Kat his magic filled tentacles. He then tried using his magic on Kat with one, who reflexively dodged by rolling off the bed.
"Huh. Didn't know I could do that." Kat said on the floor.
"Me neither." Nightmare said while making another attempt, which Kat also rolled to dodge.
"Say, why aren't you up on your feet right now?" Nightmare asked while Kat was still on the floor.
"No." Kat said like a stubborn toddler.  One of which was true.
Nightmare then used one magic tentacle acting like a normal attack. Which Kat rolled again to dodge, but then almost on top of that attack was another coming from the other side. Forcing Kat to jump up on their feet.
*You winced at the pain in your left leg.
"As I expected. You are injured." Nightmare said in a tone as though he won a bet. Kat hated him.
"From here I can see a broken ankle. Must've not healed it good enough last time around. Or someone didn't chill out." Nightmare said. Kat shot a hateful look at Nightmare.
"If you let me get a closer look at it, I could heal it." Nightmare suggested.
*You gave Nightmare a hateful glare.
"I'll take that as a yes." Nightmare said purposely misreading Kat.
"Maybe it was because you continued to be a nuisance, when I simply tried healing your ankle last time." Nightmare said sarcastically.
Nightmare tried to grab Kat by the other ankle but Kat had the reflexes, well, of a cat.
"Huh.  You got better at this." Nightmare observed.
"So I did." Kat responsed while continuing to dodge his 'attacks', injured at that.
Kat blinked.  He was gone.
"Boo." Nightmare said dryly while doing a considerably creepy face.  He reappeared behind Kat
"F#CK!" Kat yelled, who got startled.  Kat then jumped forward while turning around to face Nightmare, but because of their ankle, they ended up falling in their face.
"F#ck." Kat said, not bothering to get up.
