Kat had a Dream again. Kat suspected that they weren't supposed to be getting them with Nightmare's magic, but they did. They decided not to tell him. Plus, it's not like they remembered it anyway.
"Hey!" A familiar voice said.
"Who tf are you and how'd you get in here?" Kat asked staring at the familiar face. They both were sitting on the bed.
"I'm you, and I can help you get out of this...place..." Casey said.
"Carty... Carey... No. Casey. Your name's Casey?" Kat remembered.
"That's good. Pull up your reset button." Casey instructed Kat.
"Why? It's not like it can do anything." Kat said.
"You wanna get out of here or not?" Casey asked. Kat nodded.
"Ok. Just pull it up." Casey told Kat.
Kat pulled up the reset button. It wasn't reset. It was Create.
"Woah... Create? What's this?" Kat asked.
"They key to getting you out of here." Casey said.
"I can use your magic. Just trust me, and press the Create button." Casey said.
Casey's hand was on top of Kat's urging them to press the button.
"Here we go. Ready to leave?" Casey asked Kat. Kat nodded, still not knowing what was going on. Light swirled around the two.
"Kid? Kid!" Nightmare said walking in. He was two late. It was as though Kat and Casey evaporated.
"$h!t..." Nightmare said putting a tentacle to his forehead.

"Huh?" Kat looked around.
"This is all I could do. It's up to you now. Thanks Nightmare." Casey said sarcastically. Just as quickly Kat was reminded as to what just happened they forgot.
"Hello?" Kat asked. They looked around. A field of buttercups. It was beautiful.
Kat couldn't seem to see the end of it. And they were tired. Enormously tired. They laid on the buttercups. They were softer than the ones from when they fell into the underground. Kat outstretched their arms and looked at the clouds. The sky. Somethings they haven't seen in a while. It was beautiful.
"What happened?" Kat asked themselves. Kat took a cinnamon out of their inventory and nibbling on it thinking.
"If Nightmare comes looking, I need to get away from here." Kat said sitting up.
They started a peaceful walk through the buttercups. It felt more of a stroll than an escape.
They probably walked 3 whole undergrounds, stopping occasionally to rest.
"That should do it." Kat said resting.
"I'll walk more tomorrow." Kat said. Unlike the place Nightmare and Kat trained, this place had a day, and a Night. The sun was setting beautifully over the buttercups, reflecting off in the perfect way.
Kat found the softest spot, and laid down uncomfortably. They never been open tent camping, or no tent camping, or any kind of camping, unless you call living in a trailer van for most of their childhood camping.
Kat tried to fall asleep but an unpleasant memory flashed like lightning and jolted them awake. Though eventually, they fell asleep for no more that 4 hours.

Kat woke and continued the same routine as the day prior. They walked at least 4 undergrounds this time around.
*A sunset laid before you.
"There it is..." Kat said. They closed their eyes.
Movement. Kat looked swiftly. Must've been Nightmare's training. A bright light was seen in the difference. It wasn't the sun.
Arrows were shot toward you, Kat side flipped to get out of the way. Golden arrows.
"Who- wait." Kat started.
The bright light, the size of a soul got dimmer, it revealed a sans.
"Dream?!" Kat excitedly.
"Kat!" Dream exclaimed.
Kat didn't bother hissing when dream hugged them, instead they actually hugged back.
"Hey old friend." Dream said.
"Hi Dream." Kat said through tears of joy.
"You did good Kat. You did good." Dream said. Kat was almost 6 inches shorter than him not that they were comparing, but that didn't matter. They were finally saved. Truly saved.

"So. How'd you ever get here? Did Nightmare get bored, or did you actually manage to..." Dream asked.
"I don't know... I found myself here and I was really tired. Deep down, I felt, it made sense, somehow. I just don't remember." Kat explained.
"I see." Dream said. The pair was both sitting watching the sun set.
"What is this place?" Kat asked.
"Just another old AU. I come here often because it reminds me of my old AU." Dream explained.
"Ah. I'm assuming you don't wanna talk about it." Kat said. Dream gave them a look that told them so.
"It's nice though..." Dream said.
"Really is..." Kat said looking off into the distance.
"When'd you get here?" Dream asked.
"About a day or two ago." Kat said.
"Space bun?" Kat offered Dream.
"No thanks. Let's get back to Ink. He's gonna be excited." Dream said standing up.
"Let's go." Kat said following Dream through the portal.
The pair was there quicker than Nightmare's regular multiverse portal.
"Hey Ink! I have a surprise!" Dream said. It was the doodle sphere.
Ink appeared in from of Ink, like a child.
"What is it?! A paint set?! Candy?! A paint brush?!" Ink said excitedly.
"Even better." Dream said as he signaled for Kat to come out of the portal.
"Oh! Kat!" Ink said excitedly. Blue came running in because of all the excitement.
"Ink? What's going on-Kat!" Blue hugged Kat. Kat just let it happen. This time is an exception.
"How'd you get away from Nightmare?! We've been trying to get you back for weeks!" Ink exclaimed.
"Ya! They're tuff to beat! But we knew we would get you back!" Blue said.
"How did you get away from Nightmare?" Ink repeated his first question.
"I actually don't know. I can't remember, but. Deep down I can feel that everything makes sense somehow..." Kat said thinking.
"Where'd you find them?" Blue asked.
"I found them in an a old AU just wandering around. I hate to admit it but I thought it might have been Nightmare so... I almost... killed... them?" Dream admitted.
"You didn't almost kill me." Kat said.
"Well if you haven't- side flipped... too.. dodge...it." Dream realized that Kat was a lot more experienced than he thought.
"Wait! Can I try?!" Ink asked, without an answer, he shot bone like Ink bullets toward Kat. They were quite simple to dodge.
"There's something I've been working on. Can I try it?" Ink asked. Kat just gave up on talking.
"Ink... I don't think-" Dream got cut off.
"Here it comes!"
*Ink's preparing his new attack.
Ink took out his broom stick and moved the brush so fast Kat couldn't see it, the paint was as though the entire world was a paint brush. Ink then pushed forward with his brush aiming it at Kat. It was a little harder than usual, but they managed to dodge every patch of Ink. When Kat thought they were done, the ink came flying back twice as fast. Kat jumped and hugged themselves as tight as they could and spun sideways.
"Wow! That was amazing!" Blue said impressed.
"Say, where'd you learn to dodge like that?" Ink asked.
Kat looked down disapproving of themselves.
"He taught me..." Kat said.
"Oh." Dream said.
"Now that you mention it, I can see some similarities to how you and Nightmare avoid bullets!" Ink said with his usual enthusiasm.
"Try these!" Blue said out of the blue.
It was a simple attack of blue bones, Kat also noticed some orange ones here and there.
Move, stop move move, stop.
"Nice one blue!" Kat exclaimed.
"You try one Dream!" Ink said.
"I don't think I'm comfortable shooting arrows at one of my friends..." Dream said.
"And plus, you already did." Kat said.
"I thought someone was sneaking up on me!" Dream protested.
"Hey Dream, Blue, can you give us a minute?" Ink asked Dream and Blue.
"Sure." Dream said.
"Of course!" Blue said after.
Dream and Blue both exited through a thin piece of light.
"So.  Do you really know why your here?" Ink said mysteriously.
"No." Kat replied ignoring Ink's dramatic tone.
"Ok.  Just asking! Btw, are you a Creator by any chance?" Ink said.
"What's that?" Kat asked.
"You have so much to learn!" Ink told Kat.
"I'll teach you!" Ink enthusiastically dragged Kat along.
