The demon monkey rubbed his left eye, it was technically his only working eye but lately it's been getting a bit blurry. He didn't think anything was rong with it, probably just irritated. Sliding out of his bed, he figured some eyedrops would help. With an annoyed sighed he headed out of his room and into the living room of the stone palace.
Wukong was sitting on his couch with a few monkeys, making sure they were groomed. Noticing the shadow monkey enter the room he looked up with a smile "how did you sleep?"
"Better with those earplugs Tang gave me" the monkey rubbing his eye annoyed with the blurrying edges.
"Your eye ok?"
"Yea just irritated, I'm going to go buy eyedrops" Macaque leaned on the back of Wukongs couch "need anything?"
The king jumped up ignoring the yelp from the monkey in his lap. He bolted to his table to grab a pen and notepad. He was busy jotting down items and the demon started to look nervous.
"Jeez peaches I'm not gonna bring you the whole store."
"Don't worry I'll give you a bag to carry it in" Wukong tail wagged happily as he finished his list "this just saves me a trip in the future."
With how the king went through snacks the demon highly doubted that. He took the list and caught the backpack Wukong threw at him. He figured it was best not to argue with the sage and just fazed out.
The demon reappeared in an alleyway in the city, he learned his lesson about appearing in the middle of town. He was having trouble reading the street signs, the letters were just to blurry to read. Giving up he paid attention instead to the buildings, he recognized a few and was able to find his way like that.
Entering the market, he dared look at Wukongs list. He groaned at the amount of snacks the sage had put on there. Creating shadow clones he had them comb through the store for the items. He however made his way over to the aisles that had medicine. Finding the eyedrops, he squinted trying to read the small print on the bottles. Growling in irritation he just grabbed three different ones.
Having his clones put the rest of items in the backpack Wukong gave him, he fazed out of the store. He never paid before and he wasn't about to now.

Meiying handed the monkey an apron "thanks for helping out Mac."
"No problem I know it's your busy time of year" Macaque tied the apron around his waist and headed into the kitchen.
The Kitsune was over her head in orders and Unfortunately her partner was busy with his own work. She handed the demon a binder and flipped to the first page, a simple mooncake recipe.
"Just follow the steps, super easy" she pushed him towards a table and sped off to her own job.
The monkey stared at the recipe, hopeless since his eye seemed to be getting worse. So far he hasn't told any one, he didnt want to worry his friends. Trying to guess the blurry words he went about making the mooncakes the best he could.
Meiying's ears fell flat as she stared in shock at the finished mooncakes. They looked misshapen and didn't smell very good. This wasn't the first time Macaque's helped her bake so she didn't understand how it could be this bad. The monkey on the other hand seemed unfazed as if they looked normal.
"Um thanks Mac, why don't you handle the counter" she gave him strained laugh.
The monkey nodded leaving her to do the rest of the baking. He started having trouble at the counter to, he grabbed the wrong item or miscounted the money. Customer complaints started flowing in and Meiying had to call in a sub.
