Battle of Hogwarts Lecture

Battle of Hogwarts Lecture-

Maddie's pov

"Books and wands away, we're talking about the Battle of Hogwarts today!" I said happily. The students whispered happily and I raised my hand to quiet them down.

"Ok, so that Battle of Hogwarts was also known as the Final Battle of Hogwarts. This battle signified the end of the Second Wizarding War. There was two sides of the war, the good side and the bad. How many of you know about You-Know-Who?" All the students raised their hands. "Very good. You-Know-Who was obviously on the bad side of the war. He created a dark magical object that would keep him alive even if his body was destroyed beyond magical or physical repair."

"What object?" Someone asked.

"We aren't allowed to speak of it. It is too dangerous. But this object, had a piece of Voldemort's soul in it. And if it was destroyed, then you could destroy him. But here's the catch, the Dark Lord had seven of them."

"Seven?" People gasped. I smiled sympathetically at them.

"Yes, seven. Now Harry Potter, you all know him, The boy who lived. He destroyed 5 of the magical objects by the time the Dark Lord's forces attacked the castle. Now being who he is, he was Voldemort's number one target. Voldemort killed many people in that war, all because Harry Potter was the one who a prophecy said would be able to destroy him."

"The war was absolutely terrifying, death eaters left and right, all out for blood. They didn't care how old you were, if you stood in there way, then you would be vanquished." I heard a couple students gasp and I scanned over them. "Now then, the final two magical objects that Harry needed to destroy in order to destroy Voldemort was his pet snake, and something else. How many of you have heard about when Harry Potter was a baby?"

One or two students raised their hands. "Ok, well, Harry was just a baby when a prophecy was made about a boy born at the end of July. It could have been one of two people, Harry Potter or Neville Longbottom."

"Professor Longbottom?" Madeline Weasley asked. I nodded.

"Yes, your herbology teacher who also was in the war. Anyway, a death eater leaked information about Harry Potter and Voldemort went to kill him as an infant. Now, Voldemort went to Godric's Hollow that night and killed Harry's father. Harry's mother loved her son so much, that she cast herself in front of Harry and was killed instead. But then Voldemort tried to kill him, but was destroyed instead, leaving Harry with a lightning bolt scar on his forehead. Voldemort was destroyed that night because Harry Potter was accidentally turned into the dark magical object."

"Back to the war. Harry Potter found out that he was destined to die." I paused. "Oh by this time, I was already killed." Students whispered but I continued. "How many of you know Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley?" Students raised their hands and I saw Madeline and Arabella giggle to each other. "Hermione and Ron were Harry's best friends. So Harry went to tell them to destroy the final dark magical object while he was to go confront the Dark Lord."

"It was very sad to see their best friend sacrifice himself like that, but it had to be done. By dawn, Voldemort had done the deed and brought Harry's body to Hogwarts. What the Dark Lord didn't know is that Harry was not dead."

"Why wasn't he dead?" Robin Wiblin asked.

"He was not dead because Voldemort killed the part of himself that he trapped inside Harry long ago. So Harry was alive, and at the proper moment, he ran out the courtyard and into the castle with everyone else. Harry and Voldemort had an intense duel, but Voldemort was still immortal. That is, until Professor Longbottom destroyed the last magical object. The moment it was destroyed, Harry Potter was able to defeat You-Know-Who, and we won the battle."
