Something's Different-

Maddie's pov

Months flew by in what felt like only a couple of days. It was almost winter break, which meant students were starting to pack and get ready to return to their families.

Arabella came up to my office almost every night with Toby talking to me excitedly. During school hours, she calls me Professor, but after, she calls me mum, which warms my heart. She seems to be very interested in my past with Fred. She loves hearing old school stories about us.

Fred has been rather happy with our relationship. We send letters back and forth, keeping our love strong. And as for me? Well I'm hanging in their. It's been tough. I feel like, if I left this earth and joined all the deceased it would be so much easier. But I can't do that. My soul is attached to Fred.

Anyway, the atmosphere around Hogwarts has changed. People are acting different. It's like they're scared of something. Before I could continue my rant, someone came rushing into my classroom.

"Madeline! Come quickly to the Hospital wing. It's- It's Arabella!" Neville shouted. My eyes widened and he turned and raced out the classroom. I orbed towards Neville, grabbed his shoulder and orbed us to the Hospital wing. When we landed, Neville fell forward and onto the ground, and I silently but hastily glided over to where everyone was standing.

"Move, please!" I cried. McGonagall and Madame Pomfrey part and convulsing on the bed sheets was Arabella. "What's wrong with her!?"

"She's being possesed!" Toby cried suddenly. The professors looked at Toby with confusion, but I saw it. Around Arabella was a sort of blue haze.

"Bella, sweetie, listen to my voice." I whispered. Her jerking body slowly began to become less violent, and the blue haze started to drain from around her. "Everyone back up. Now." I commanded. All the professors took a step back and I took out my wand. While they were all staring and Arabella, I was watching the haze. It grew larger and larger and soon something was beginning to materialize.. or someone.

To my horror, my mother was standing there, in a ghostly form, with a wicked smile playing at her lips. "Hello sweetie! I missed you!" She cackled. At this point, all the professors saw Bellatrix and pointed their wands at her.

"What are you doing here? I thought I ended you." I snarled. Her smile turned into a frown. And then into another smile.

"I came to take you home, back up to heaven where you belong.. bitch." She hissed. Arabella's head lolled to the side and Toby looked at her closely.

"I'm not leaving, so might as well go crawl back into a hole that you call home in Hell." She eyed me up and town and started pacing.

"You don't understand do you?" She hissed. I cocked my to the side and she smiled. Before I could react, she orbed towards me in a blue ball and took me to some unknown location. It was all a blur, and I could feel Bellatrix's grip on my arm. When we landed, we were in the Great Hall, me on the Gryffindor table and Bellatrix gliding over the Slytherin table.

"Here's the thing, Madeline. I was allowed to come back to see how my lovely daughter was doing, when I heard some information. Turns out you and your little blood traitor are bonded, am I correct?" I didn't say a thing. "Yes, well if I bring you home, as in, shove your ass into Heaven, it'll kill him."

"There's your problem Bellatrix, I'm not going with you!" I shouted. She grinned wickedly.

"Who said I needed permission?"  She orbed at me again and grabbed me by the back of my neck. We both shot up into the sky, the castle far below us. We flew through the clouds and into a very strong light. We were back at the Ministry of Magic for dead people. She stopped us at the door labeled 'Heaven.' She tried to shove me in through the door but I stuck my hands up  and pushed against the door frame.
