Council of Tempus

Maddie's pov

"Madeline. Jane Weasley, nee Potter." A deep voice whispered. "You have been brought forth to the Council of Tempus."

"Where am I? Who are you?" I asked out to nothing. By this time, everything around me was white. But all around be were people slowly walking towards me in golden robes. They wore no masks and I could see there faces. One face that stood out was Dumbledore. "Professor?" I asked, smiling happily.

"Hello Madeline." He replied. "You're probably wondering why we brought you here." I nodded and he smiled. "As you know, Remus Lupin warned you of the soon death of Fredrick Gideon Weasley." I nodded again. "And the council has deliberated and there is absolutely nothing you are allowed to do to save him. His death has to happen, it's just the way the future planned it."

I was speechless. How was I supposed to watch the man I love get murdered right before my eyes? "How- What- I have to do something!" I said urgently. He shook his head sadly.

"I'm sorry Madeline. You aren't allowed to do anything." Dumbledore said.

"What do you mean allowed?" I inquired.

"Well, had Remus Lupin not told you of the future, you would be allowed to save  him. But since you were warned, you aren't allowed to do anything." A different person replied.

A lady stepped up to me and put a hand on my shoulder. "I'm sorry dear, someone has to die today." She said softly. I looked at Dumbledore, who had that familiar twinkle in his eyes. He was formulating a plan in his head.. I could just tell. And as if her heard me, he nodded his head.

"Ok. I get it. Someone has to die today." I said to no one in particular. They all nodded and then they slowly faded away. Everything that was once white started turning dark as the scene resumed itself.

"Avad-" Bellatrix started.

"WAIT!" I shouted hastily. Bellatrix gave me a look and I looked at her pleadingly. "I have a compromise." She eyed me up before nodding.

"Ok. Well you said you needed Orbs of Life, and I can provide them for you." I said shakily. "As a particularum pythonissam, we are born with two Orbs of Life, they become one when we are bonded. . Killing a particularum pythonissam  bond yourself will only give you one. But," I took in a deep breath and locked eyes with Fred. "If I rip apart the bond myself, it will give you two orbs, so you don't have to kill anyone." She smiled evilly and Fred gave me the most heartbreaking look ever.

"No- No! Maddie don't do this! I just got you back." He pleaded. Bellatrix threw him to the ground and grinned.

"Deal. Say your last goodbyes." She said. Fred, Arabella and Toby ran up to me and I started to cry.

"Please don't go mum." Both Toby and Arabella said sadly. I grabbed Toby first and hugged him tigjtly.

"Remember that time how I told you that one day I'm going to have to leave for a long time and you won't see me again until later? Today's that day. I need you to keep strong for me Toby. Plus you'll have daddy and Bells." I grabbed Arabella next and she tried to grip onto me, but went right through. 

"Arabella, I want you to be as brave as you can. I want you to go back home, then Hogwarts and get a good education. I want you to start a family of your own and I want you to live your life. Just because I won't be there doesn't mean you can't go on." She looked me in the eyes and my heart shattered even more. "Stay magical."

I let go of her and walked over to Fred. He was nearly in tears. "Don't cry over me Fred. I mean, I'm already dead." I chuckled. "Stay strong for the twins. Be the best father the world has ever seen. Be-"

"I don't want you to go." He said quickly.

"Fred, I'm not leaving you. I'm just moving on. You'll see me again, I promise. And like Dumbledore once said, 'Death is but the next great adventure.' What i'm trying to say is,  this isn't the end. We have a whole new adventure waiting for us. I'm ready for that adventure, but you have to finish this one first." I turned to the rest of my family.

"I love you all so much." I stepped away from them and towards Bellatrix. I raised my wand and pointed it at my heart. "Eviscero."

It was a rather nice feeling. All my worries and troubles were gone and I saw my family looking at me desperately. I saw Bellatrix's power-hungry face reaching for two circular orbs floating towards her. And then I saw emerald eyes,  and ginger hair. Harry, George, Ron and Hermione stared at me with wide eyes.

"Maddie!"

And then I was gone... again.

I reappeared by the familiar well in the park in Godric's hollow. I was sort of sprawled out on the grass. I let out a groan and I heard laughter.

"Hah! I knew she would wake up in less than 5 minutes! That will be 1 galleon Moony!" A familiar voice said gleefully.

"Here Prongs." Another voice said kind of down heartily.

"I'm glad you two are making bets on the condition of my health." I groaned and rolled over. "Hey mum." I said causally towards Lily Potter.

"You are so brave, you know that?" She said as she helped me up. I looked at the familiar faces around me and almost broke into tears of my own. Mr. and Mrs. Weasley stood to my right next to Nymphadora Lupin. To my left was the Masons, I guess they found there way to Godric's Hollow. And in front of me was James and Remus. I ran up to dad and threw my arms around him.

"I missed you so much daddy." I cried. He swung me around in a circle and I squeled happily. When he put me down, I noticed something different. "Look! I'm not silvery anymore!" They let out a laugh and I smiled. Next to dad, Remus Lupin was cockily grinning at me.

"You knew, huh?" I asked him. He nodded. Everyone else looked hopelessly lost.

"What do you mean Maddie?" Mrs. Weasley asked.

"Oh hey Molly!" I chirped. "And I mean he knew that I would sacrifice myself so I wouldn't let Fred die. He knew how much pain I was in down there, and so he weaseled me out of it. It was kind of selfish on my part, but now everyone can have a normal life."

"You remind me so much of Lily." Dad said, "Sacrificing yourself for the ones you love."

"You're one to talk James, you sacrificed yourself before me!" Lily giggled.

"I guess I really have the Potter gene." I said. "You know, I think I finally feel content. I mean, I have nothing to worry about, and I think I'm home." At that moment, I was given a group hug.

"Let's go back to the house." Lily suggested. We all nodded and started walking over. Mrs. And Mr. Weasley stayed towards the back of the group and asked to talk to me.

"It's good to see you again dear!" Molly said.

"It's good to see you too Molly, Arthur." I replied casually. Mr. Weasley stepped up and hugged me.

"What you did for our son was truly remarkable and I wouldn't know where any of us would be with out you. I'm glad Fred chose you."

"I'm glad he chose me too."

I have soccer tryouts in an hour... I'm so scared!
