CHAPTER 2

Tonight is the big night, and we're getting ready in our hotel. I had the energy to fix myself because I had a great time touring Paris with Riri the day before.

While I was scrolling through my social media accounts, I received a notification that someone had tagged me. Alana posted our photo together, my heart melted, and I commented with a heart emoji to show her how much I appreciated her.

We finished in a few minutes and waited for the car to take us to the venue. I keep looking in the mirror to see if I look good in what I'm wearing.

I chose a simple yet elegant dress so that I could comfortably socialize with all of the guests. Riri, on the other hand, wore a white gown with gray stiletto heels.

When we saw a black limousine with a butler waiting outside the door, my eyes widened.

"Omg ang gara naman babe" Riri was astounded by the luxurious vehicle. We went inside right away, facing each other and smiling when we saw champagne waiting for us.

We enjoyed the ride to the event and were wowed by the large crowd of photographers taking photos of guests walking down the red carpet.

When it was our turn to leave, the butler opened the door for us, and I was bombarded with camera flashes. I walked side by side with Riri, flashing them a sweet smile.

When we entered, we saw familiar faces, famous celebrities, and wealthy business owners happily chit-chatting. I felt as if I didn't belong here.

"Riri, parang gusto ko nang umuwi, ghad di ata ako belong dito eh" I said while chugging the champagne handed to me.

"Akala mo naman belong ako dito, don't worry miss Austria you have a very wealthy name, hindi sila mahihirapang kilalanin ka.

Oh tignan mo may palapit na oh, Shet ang pogi" I look to where she set her eyes on

A man in his mid 20s wearing a maroon fancy suit and a slick hair approaching me. 'hmm infair ang gwapo nga' When I turned around Riri was nowhere to be found.

"Hi beautiful, I'm Zedrick Hudson" He said gently while giving a hand.

"Oh hi, I'm Nicole Austria" I replied and plastered a sweet smile and shook his hand.

"So Miss Austria is indeed a pretty lady" I chuckled and said thank you. "I knew you from a friend" I nodded and He then excused himself to greet the others.

I wandered around looking for Riane, but I was greeted by guests and ended up not finding her. I stepped on my dress by accident while walking.

I closed my eyes and anticipated falling to the floor

To my surprise, I didn't because I felt a hand wrapped around my waist supporting my weight

I slowly opened my eyes and saw a beautiful figure holding me, I looked up and saw her gorgeous face.

Kulay pula ang kanyang buhok, Maputi at parang diyosa. I'm drowned by her sparkling blue orbs and her glossy red lips.

"Hey miss are you okay?" Oh God what a charming voice.

"Hey" She added, I didn't notice na kanina pa pala ako nakatulala at mabilis na tumayo ng ayos.

Nginitian ako nito at parang mahihimatay na ata ako sa pinapakita nitong dimples sa magkabilang pisngi.

"I-i'm sorry, Thank you" I said while lowering my head dahil sa hiya at parang kanina pa namumula ang magkabilang pisngi ko.

But I felt her fore finger held my chin up and smiled sweetly.

She's wearing a black tube velvet above the knee fitted dress with a feather wrap around her waist. Dang she gorgeous as hell.

"Don't look down, you're pretty" She said na para bang pinagmamasdan ang buong mukha ko. "Hi, I'm Yuri Lux and you are?" I was about to reach for her open hands in front of me when suddenly.

"Babe! Finally na hanap na kita, Kanina pa kita hina---Oh, I'm sorry" Riri apologetically said but I saw Yuri Lux's face turn plain but still smiling.

"Hi I'm Lux, nice meeting you guys...I-i'll go ahead" She didn't wait for us to reply anything.

"Babe sino iyon? Kilala mo? Ang ganda grabe, pero parang ayaw niya sakin eh"

Natawa nalang ako sa kaniyang sinabi and she grabbed me to go to the area where fancy foods were served. My tummy grumbled and she plastered a grin.

I got a plate and only ate a little because I wasn't hungry, and Riri and I talked while eating. The music changed to a slow and romantic rhythm after we finished eating.

"Babe alis muna ako hahanap akong kasayaw hehe" Tumango ako napailing iling dahil ibang klase talaga si Riane.

Nagpasya akong pumunta sa isang balcony dahil ayokong sumayaw at baka may biglang kunin ako para isayaw.

The view here is amazing, kita lahat ng maliwanag na bahay and the Eiffel tower.

Buti nalang I have my wine, it feels good drinking while watching this breathtaking view.

"A penny for your thoughts?" I was startled when I heard the charming voice. I tilted my head and saw Lux and her side profile. Wow this gal is really something.

"Stop staring, I'll melt, sige ka" I chuckled at binalik ang tingin sa malawak na tanawin.

"I'm Nicole, I can admit you're drop dead gorgeous, I swear" I said bluntly without looking at her but she only laughed at me..ghad her chuckle,  it's expensive ang sarap amuhin.

"You're funny, I like you" When she said those last three words, which made my cheeks flush, I felt like I'd been struck by lightning.

This is incorrect; I believe she simply meant that I'm enjoyable to be around. Oo yun lang yon wala nang iba. Hindi na ako nag salita at nginitian lang siya.

"That girl, the one who called you babe, is she your girlfriend?" Nasamid at napa ubo ako bigla at napa iling iling. Muli ko na naman naramdaman ang kaniyang mga mainit na palad sa aking likod at hinihimas ito. "Hey, easy"

"N-no she's not, I'm her bestfriend, She's used to calling me that ever since we were kids" an O formed on her lips and there nagsilabasan na naman ang kaniyang mga dimples na ang sarap kurutin.

"Good" She winked at me and turned around.

Ha?
