My Brother's Wife (GirlxGirl)

CHAPTER 4

Why has it to be her of all people? But who cares? It's not that I like her; in fact, I do, but not romantically. Ugh! I'm just disappointed, and I'm not sure why, when I can be close to her as a sister.

Her presence has an impact on me, her red hair complementing her entire face, those orbs that drown the hell out of me, her smile with dimples on both sides, her lips! Ugh.

Her very existence gives me a good feeling. But I'm not sure why she's my brother's wife out of all the girls out there.

Riri tapped me on the arm, which startled me and brought me back to reality. I had no idea I was zoning out.

Oh yeah, I'm in a restaurant with the person I kept thinking about, kuya on her side, and Riri next to me. Their expressions are perplexed as to why I'm staring into nothing.

"O-oh I'm sorry" I said apologetically and awkwardly smile. I could not concentrate on reality because she's in front of me. "What was it again? May naisip lang ako hehe"

"We were just talking about where you'll live, napag usapan naman namin ni Mom na you'll stay in our house first until your condominium is ready"

I just nodded with what he said. WHAT i'm gonna fucking live with my brother and his wife? Isn't this torture?

"We'd like Riri to live with us also"

"Ay wag na Kuya Andre, I'll be with my parent's house muna kase It's been years since I saw them. Actually they're fetching me here after" Riri said then ate the last piece of steak on her fork. "Babe I'll see you around, just text me okay, Thank you for the food kuya" She then bid her goodbye and I kissed her on the cheek, her parents were in the car. I also waved hi to them.

When I looked into Lux's eyes, I felt like I was stabbed with daggers. She's like peering into my soul and passing judgment. I gave her an awkward smile.

"Kuya, I had no idea I was famous here, I checked every social media, they're talking about my songs, I was just overwhelmed by their presence at the same time I was happy," I said as I smiled at him.

"Kaya nga eh, they're very fond of you, even our employees wanted to meet you, yun oh celebrity" I chuckled with what he said and munched my food.

"Why weren't you at the wedding?" She suddenly spoke. "I didn't recognize you at the party eh, you're my sister pala" I felt my cheeks flushed after hearing the word party.

"I was busy with work in New York A-ate" Parang ang awkward naman tawagin siyang ate. "Mom and Dad also wanted me to attend the party in no rush" I said smiling

"I don't mind if you call me Yuri," she smiled, and my gaze moved to Kuya's hand on top of hers.

I quickly turn my head away to my food because I don't want to see them being sweet.

We arrived at their house, It was not that huge but a very elegant one.

"Guys, I've got to go, I'll be back tonight for dinner, Yuri can show you around Nics," he said, kissing Yuri on the cheek. Then I nodded and said my goodbyes.

I decided to use my phone while sitting on the couch. "What do you want for dinner, Nicole?" I feel like I'm in heaven when she calls my name.

"I-i'll have anything po" I quickly left her gaze and into my phone. I felt her presence going near me.

"Oh C'mon drop the po" She sat beside me, even though ang dami pang spaces sa couch pero she really sat close to me.

"Don't be shy, I'm a nice person I won't bite babe" I was startled deep inside me because she called me babe

Does she think it's normal for her to call me that? Riri can say it normally but her? I don't know my heart will burst any minute now.

"You're always spacing out, is something bothering you? Do you not want me close to you?"

"Y-yes, I mean no, I'm fine, I just missed New York...I-i think I need to rest, can you show me my room?" I said she smiled and grabbed my wrists.

We then proceeded upstairs, entering the first door on the right. "Wow, it's really customized to my preferences." I said with amusement on my face be

"Yup, your brother really made sure na comfortable kang matulog dito"

I looked at her hand still holding my wrists

"Ay sorry" I didn't get to reply because a small shih tszu pup went to me.

It was very cute. I went to held him up. "Her name is demi, she's my dog" She suddenly said, then I hugged him.

My body froze when she also  went for a hug, I couldn't move an inch.

We were almost hugging each other, with the dog in between us. My entire face is getting hot.

We remained like this for a few minutes before she let go. "You smell nice, Nicole," she said as she walked downstairs with the dog.

What the actual fuck?

I awoke from my slumber and checked the time; it is now 7 p.m. Perhaps Kuya is still not here, so I decided to wash up before going downstairs.

There was no one around, so I wandered around the house until I came across an infinity pool in the backyard.

I'm like a kid who can't wait to go swimming. I sat on the pool's edge and dipped my legs in the water. The view from here is also spectacular.

When I heard footsteps approaching, I turned around. I noticed her in satin pajamas with a messy bun.

She then plastered her smile, and I noticed she was carrying a paperbag with a Jollibee logo on it. My inner child is smiling and waving.

"Your brother won't be coming home tonight, he's busy," she said as she sat beside me and placed the bag between us.

"I ordered fast food because I was too lazy to cook eh," she said as she grabbed the food and placed it between us. Napailing ako

"I haven't had this since I was ten, gosh it smells so good," I squealed and think to myself as I watch the food.

"Okay this will never disappoint you, kain na tayo" She got a plate and gave one to me, I was about to get for myself but then  on my plate

"Kain ka na" I smiled at her and quickly tasted the food. Ugh heaven.

We were quietly eating and just minding our own. She finished early at nagligpit na rin. I was about to get up when I felt her lips on my cheek.

"I'll go upstairs na. Goodnight Nicole" I saw her grin before turning around.

I was left at the side of the pool. I felt like I'm about to burst because of my heart beating. Napahilamos ako sa mukha at parang hindi makapaniwala.

Ba't ba ganto nararamdaman ko. Don't tell me I like my brother's wife. Gosh Never!
