CHAPTER 20

When she walked out the door, emotionlessly wiping her face, I was about to move and follow her when Zedrick grabbed my hand tightly and spoke while kneeling down with a small box in his hand. Oh no, I know what's coming next.

"Will you marry me, love?"

All eyes are on us, and I'm confused and sad. I'm not sure what I'm feeling right now. It's as if I want to flee but can't because everyone here expects me to say yes.

I look around at my family; Riri is perplexed, and Kuya is nowhere to be found. My parents are rooting for me in some way. What the hell is going on in this world?

I look at Rick, puzzled, as he waits for my response, guilt written all over his face; I want to punch this guy right now. Nakakainis!

"They're waiting," he said quietly. I buried my nails in his hand and glared at him from within. Pasalamat ka talaga maraming tao ngayon, patay ka sakin mamaya.

I nodded as I heard everyone's cheers and the tingling sounds of the wine glass being tapped. Rick stood up and hugged me; I let him go and smiled at the visitors.

I can't take any more of this nonsense, I waved to the guests as I dragged Rick's hand to the restroom. I checked to make sure no one was inside and then locked the door.

"Nic---"

"WHAT THE HECK ZEDRICK?!?" I screamed, gripping the sink tightly.

"I swear! I didn't agree with this Nicole, it was our parents' decision," he said. Knowing that my parents had planned this, I was taken aback. We had an agreement for fuck's sake.

"Can't we just keep doing this? We'll make great partners, Nicole, including our businesses, and we'll be able to be great parents to our future heirs." My eyes widened, and I was disgusted by what he said.

"Don't be delusional, Zedrick, I will never like you," I said coldly, staring him down. "You better fix this or else," I added, making him smirk.

What the hell? Why is he smirking? I swear I'm going to punch him right now. I glared at him and walked to the exit.

"Or else, Nicole?" I paused, not turning around. "I know your dirty little secrets, or else what?" I rolled my eyes and shook my head in disbelief as he threatened me like I was a helpless child. I continued on my way and unlocked the door.

"You're in love with Yuri, your brother's wife"

I flinched at what I'd heard and tightened my grip on the doorknob. "I have sources, and the minute I reveal them, babagsak ka, and you'll need me." I turned around, a cold smirk on my face.

After slapping the hell out of him, I could feel my hand heating up. Buti nga sayong hayop ka! he's looking down and holding his cheek. I grabbed his collar, causing him to flinch. I smiled.

"Parang bakla, don't you dare threaten me Rick, alam mo na ang mangyayari sa'yo" I said as I harshly pushed him and turned around to go out.

I returned to the party and sat at my parents' table. I noticed my parents happily conversing with, I believe, Rick's Father. I can't help but be enraged; I despise being ditched. My mother noticed me approaching and continued to smile.

"Oh baby, we've been looking for you, come meet Mr. Hudson, Zedrick's Father," Mom said, motioning me closer to him.

"Mom, I'm dropping the position; I'm quitting," I said, ignoring her and raising my hands in the air. As a result, she exclaimed. I exited without looking back.

Sumakay ako ng kotse at humarurot papuntang building, I'll be packing things. I'm sick of all this nonsense; I just want to go back to New York and live a normal life. I wouldn't have met Yuri, and I won't be able to disturb her.

Which reminds me, Saan kaya nagpunta 'yon, magkasama ata sila ng asawa niya. I'll stop with whatever feelings I have for her, I'll cause more trouble at baka mapapahamak lang siya.

I went into my office and put everything important in a box. After that, I went to my condo unit and packed all of my belongings. I'm fucking outta here.

Before heading down, I decided to open my socials and lied on the bed. I texted Yuri.

'I'm sorry for all the things I've caused you'

'Please know that I love you so much, it won't be such a problem for you anymore because I'll be going away, hoping you'll never see me anymore'

'Please take good care of yourself, especially the baby inside you, I'll be pleased to meet them soon'

'Goodbye'

I turned off my phone and carried my luggage. I walked down the parking lot and loaded the bags into the car. I was about to leave when I heard a continuous thump from the wind shield.

Yuri

What brings her here? She appears to be in pain, and her eyes are sad. She kept knocking on the window, so I opened the door and let her in. She's drenched.

"Why are you here? and why are you wet?" I asked worriedly.

"Wherever you're going, take me with you." I looked at her, wondering if she was real. I didn't respond and went to get towels and clothes from the back seat.

"Here, you change first," I said, handing her the clothes, which she returned.

"Change me" She casually said, huh? she wants me to change her clothes? "Bilisan mo nilalamig ako" Oh God this girl.

I grab the hem of her blouse and pull it off, revealing her curved body and being amazed by her bare skin. She took off her bra, revealing her mounds, but before I could examine them, I turned around. It's getting hot and uncomfortable.

"Why? We both have boobs" aniya. I remained looking at the window. "Please bihisan mo na ako" She's hot when she's begging.

I turned to face her but only look to her eyes. They're sparkling or is it just my imagination?. I wore her the shirt and siya na ang nagbihis sa pang ibaba.

"You should go now Yuri" I said emotionless

"I'm staying with you" She's playing me again, I bet after today iiwasan na naman ako neto kesyo mali 'to mali 'yan.  "Don't leave, I read your messages"

"Tell me first, why are you doing this? You're really playing with my feelings Yuri, not now please, I'm tired." I muttered.

"Pwede ba umalis nalang tayo?" I sighed, hindi ba talaga siya bababa.

"Yuri, I'm heading to the airport, I'll go to some part in Mindanao. You're husband needs you here, So please bumaba ka na"

"Sasama ako sa ayaw mo at hindi" She held my hand which made me flinch "Please, Nicole, Take me with you" I saw how her eyes sparkled, I can't stop my heart from beating so fast. I avoided eye contact. I know I can't win from her so I'll just go.

"Wear your seatbelt"
