CHAPTER 3

I couldn't stop thinking about yesterday because I was confused with what she said.

Flashback

"Good" She winked at me and turned around.

I was perplexed because I didn't understand what she meant by the word she used.

But then I came to my senses and followed her; I saw her leading towards the exit and continued to follow her because I felt I needed to be with her more.

When I thought I was getting close to her, she jumped into a car and drove away.

Why was she in such a hurry?

I went back inside and found Riane in the crowd. As I was about to approach her, I was approached by a host who seemed to recognize me.

"Let us all welcome the heiress we have here today. Nicole Mignonette Austria!" Naghiwayan ang mga tao na para bang kilalang kilala nila ako.

I sweetly smiled at them "We thank you for the Austria family for making this event possible" I didn't get him.

Since he was mentioning all of the important people here today, I excused myself from the spotlight. I went straight to Riri.

"Uy babe! I heard your parents were the one who paid for this party, grabe ang yaman niyo talaga" I somehow didn't get her.

Yes we are rich but not that kind of rich rich. And speaking of rich, pilit na dineny ni Riane na sobrang yaman din nila. "Oh ba't ganyan mukha mo?" Nakakunot noong sabi niya

"Wala hindi lang ako makapaniwala, kase sure akong hindi namin ganito ka afford to" I said while chugging the wine.

"Well I heard, all the companies in the Philippines ay lahat sainyo, ngunit every company has its own name at may mga owners din pero sa puno't dulo sainyo talaga ang mga kompanya" I heard her laugh maybe because of my reaction.

"Ba't alam mo to?" Sabi ko na naka kunot noo parin

"Perks of finding pogis" sabay kindat saken

End of Flashback

Riri and I are now on our way back to New York on a private plane. Mom and Dad have also returned from the Philippines, which excites me because there are products from the Philippines that aren't available here.

But I still cannot forget that smile I saw yesterday, It still lingers in my mind how she talks to me, and held me.

Pero ano ba straight ako! Straight! Siguro pure admiration lang to.

Girl crush lang kase napakaganda talaga niya. Pero agad napawi yung ngit ko nang maramdaman ang mahinang pag tapik ni Riri

"Hoy! Kanina ka pa diyan ngiti ng ngiti, nangangalay na yung flight attendant sayo eh" I quickly gaze to the lady on the side and apologetically smiled.

"I'm sorry, I want coffee only. Thank you"

Agad itong naglagay ng kape sa aking lamesa at isang tuna sandwich. Pagtingin ko sa babae grabe kung ngumiti ito. I awkwardly smiled at her. Weird.

When we landed, immediately sinundo kami nila Mom even though may sasakyan naman kami. But they still insisted, so walang choice.

We arrived at the parking lot and saw my parents leaning against the car, their bodyguards on every corner. Riri and I went to hug and kiss them.

"Did you two enjoy the party?" Happily asked by mom. We just nodded and now entered the car. "Your sister-in-law was there, haven't you seen her?"

"I didn't know what she looked like, pero hindi ko ata siya nakita kase madaming maimpluwensiyang tao ang dumalo" I shrugged my shoulders.
