CHAPTER 8

"He cheated on me" she whispered but still audible and then her tears won.

"What?!" I muttered utterly, I am fuming in anger.

How could he? What happened to him. He was this ever charming, kind and understanding brother but why....how could he hurt this precious lady.

Mabilis akong nag ligpit ng gamit. "I'll call the others, we'll go home." I said coldly and was about to call them when she held my wrist.

"P-please calm down" She said tears still flowing.

"Calm down?! How could I calm down! My brother is a cheater, he cheated on you! Ikaw na walang ginawa kundi mahalin siya. If I'm not mistaken you said he was aggressive! Tell me, did he hurt you? Huh tell me!" I frustratingly said, they could not hear us because the boat is far away and they were underwater.

Tumitig lang ako sa kaniya, tuloy parin ang agos ng kanyang mga luha. I was about to go again but she hugged me. I sighed in defeat.

"B-ba't kailangan pang saktan yung mga taong hindi nagkukulang." I whispered as tears also run down my face.

"He said it was a mistake" her voice cracked. I chuckled sarcastically

"Mistake ba iyon?, Cheating is a choice not a mistake Damn it!" I uttered. "Akala ko ba magiging mabuting asawa siya, kasi yung alam ko malaki ang respeto niya sa mga kababaihan eh"

"Just please calm down, we're here to enjoy, kaya nga I came with you guys para I'll somehow get over it." She said caressing my back.

Napansin kong paparating na silang lahat sa gawi namin so I broke the hug at umupo sa tabi. I didn't have the urge to talk to her pa. Ba't hindi niya iniwan?.

"Okay! Next stop na tayo! Grabe ang ganda ng mga isda" Gillian cheerfully said and they all agreed in unison. Lumapit naman si Riri sakin.

"Oh babe, ba't ang dali niyong bumalik?." She asked and gave me her towel. She sat below me. "Can you dry my hair please" I nodded and started to dry it.

"We were hungry"

"Ay oo nga pala sabi ni manong may naka handa ng breakfast sa island na pupuntahan natin. Nagugutom na din ako eh" Cece said.

Dumating kami sa island at may naka handa ng pagkain sa lamesa. Kumain kami at pagkatapos ay nag rest muna. Sila Levi, Alana at Cece ay kumukuha ng pictures habang sila Gillian, Riri at Yuri ay nandoon sa cottage nagpapahinga.

I decided to sit sa shore since hindi naman mainit, mahangin nga lang. Hindi parin ako makapaniwalang magagawa ng kuya ko iyon. Basta't malaman laman ko lang na sinasaktan niya si Yuri ako talaga magpapakulong sa kaniya.

"Here, wait why are you crying?" I looked at the girl offering a soda in can.

She hurriedly sit down at hinihimas ang likod ko. I couldn't stop the tears that wanted to burst out kanina. I hugged her and cried like a kid. Hindi naman kami makikita because this was far from the cottage.

"Ri, I-i hate my brother" My cracked voice whispered. I cried loudly again hugging her. She carressed my back and kissed my forehead.

"Just let it out babe, I'm here....you don't have to tell me now, just let it out" She assuringly said.

We stayed like this for a couple of minutes when I decided to stop crying and wiped my face, I grabbed the soda and drank it all. "Ngayon lang ulit kitang nakita na ganito, the last time was when your dog Hiro died, I always see you as a strong person Nics" She said looking at the horizon.

"You show the world you are a strong woman, pero they don't know you're vulnerable and easy to break. Ako lang ata nakakakita sayong umiiyak eh" She said and looked at me with an assuring smile. I just stayed silent.
