It's a quiet walk between the two. But it wasn't an awkward silence. The only things that could be heard were the children's breathing and their soft steps in the snowed pathway.

The snow wasn't as-deep, but it wasn't shallow either. Doing her best, she tried not to slip, as for her new friend, he was walking completely fine.

In Serbia there's usually almost no snow, so the children enjoyed it while it lasted. I mean, come on. It's Vojvodina. There's little to no mountains there.

Since the caramel haired boy forgot to pack his lunch, the girl suggested they go buy something, since she ain't sharing her food.

As they came to the towns square, sounds of people talking, walking and children playing could be heard in the background.

Since the boy didn't know Serbian, nor had any of the country's currency, he asked his fellow friend to buy it for him. Of course, the 'fellow friend' agreed and they went to a bakery.

"Dobar dan! "
(Good day!)

The lady selling the pastries chirped. The caramel haired boy only scrunched up his face in confusion, as he didn't understand what she said. His friend only gave a shy wave, indicating he should too.

"Šta bi ste želeli? "
(What would you like?)

"Hmm dve kifle i flašu vode?"
(Hmm two rolls and a bottle of water?)

"U redu, upravo stižu!''

(Alright, coming right up!)

The lady said. Few moments later she came back with what they ordered. Paying for the things, she gave the food to her horse friend.

"You seriously need to exchange your kroner. I might not be here one day to pay for your school lunch. "
(Krone- Norwegian krone, Norwegian money currency, plural is kroner.)

"Yeah yeah. Hopefully that isn't soon heh."

"Mhm. Otherwise you'll starve to death. "

"For sure. "

And just as their conversation ended, they were roaming around the school halls. Since they were in the same class group, they had the same lessons.

Which only meant.. German first. Well- as for everyone, but since Tord knew Norwegian already, he could join only if he wanted. And didn't have to attend every class.

But as for Y/n.. She barely knew a word or even a phrase above Guten tag and guten morgen.
(Good day and good morning.)

She had private Norwegian classes instead, because it was a language that actually interested her. Unlike German, her Norwegian sounded like she was actually from there.

Tord was actually quite shocked when he first heard her speaking. It made his heart flutter.

ntering the classroom, the pair took a seat in the back, as for Tord being taller than other children. But since Y/n was shorter.. On the other hand she had to ask Tord for notes she couldn't see.

Since well.. They sit literally behind everyone again- But yeah. For now she was happy she at least had one friend.

Out of all her classmates nobody suited her and was either too rude or spoiled. And since rumours usually spreaded like venom, the news were known by everybody.
