Later by the next day, everyone in berk was in shock at the fact that gubber was put in prison for helping a traitor.

Most were in disbelief but the rest were not as some did know about gubber care for the young lad.

Either way, though it didn't change the fact that he gave a traitor some food.

Valka refuses to go back to stoick's house as she spent the night in the forge.

With hiccup

The poor young rider couldn't sleep through the night after the nightmare he had of him and toothless.

The thought of them trying to turn his friend into some mindless monster by who knows what before the fight.

He could refuse and stay as an outcast on the island and would not be welcome on the village grounds but then again they would probably be sent him to blood eagle.

Hiccup couldn't just walk through the village again without being spotted.

Hiccup needed to find a way to save toothless before spring comes and before the fight could happen.

They could find a new home together somewhere South away from all the other tribes and find somewhere where they are accepted as who they are and what they choose to do as a dragon rider.

When Hiccup realize it was morning he got out of the small house and look around.

He knew there was no way he could stay here because if he did well he would be dead soon enough.

Hiccup couldn't allow that to happen to hilf or to his friend toothless.

in the prison cell

Gubber couldn't believe his old friend we'll just throw him into prison just because he was trying to feed the young lad.

He was only trying to make sure hiccup wouldn't have starved to death on his first day of temporary bashmet.

stoick of all people would be going this far, he never even did make it legal that people could go see or help hiccup.

Gubber did wonder if Stoick even still care about his own son, even after hiccup was going into prison, gubber wasn't allowed to see hiccup and the guards refuse to allow him by Stoick orders.

Was this stoick plan his last hope of trying to hiccup into a real Viking, this was way too cruel to be allowed.

after all, hiccup befriending a dragon really was not all that bad as hiccup, for one thing, didn't cost any trouble and second, he knew how much hiccup wanted a friend who would accept him for who he is, and not drive was clearly the one who did accept him.

Now that his mother is back she is not even allowed to see her own son's face after 15 years of being gone.

That was all just cruel to do both Valka and hiccup there and this was even crueler to hiccup as he had to stay out of the village for the whole winter alone and come back to kill the Night fury.

Later that day, stoick had come to visit gubber in his cell.

"Gubber we need to talk," stoick said as gubber looked at him but wasn't in the mood to talk did he have a choice?

"What is it that you want chief?" Gubber ask as he would not call him by his name.

"Gubber you should have known what you did was considered treason for giving a traitor our food," stoick said as gubber was already annoyed.

"You mean your son?" Gubber said as stoick was mad at hearing those words.

"You know he's not my..." stoick got caught off by gubber.

"You and I both know you don't mean that, I know exactly why you're treating him like this, you're trying to turn him into something that you wanted him to be," gubber started as stoick wasn't looking all that happy hearing those words.

"You and I both know, that you are doing nothing more than trying to force your own son to do something that you and the rest of the tribe had always done when he doesn't choose to tame dragons instead of killing them, you want him to stop being himself and start acting the way how you and the rest of Vikings are," gubber explain as stoick sigh and took a deep breath.

"You know why I'm doing this, that boy can't keep doing what he thinks he can do whatever he wants, he needs to take responsibility for his actions and pay for what he has done to the tribe and to the haddock name he had ruin," stoick said as gubber couldn't understand stoick as he once did.

"stoick all he ever wanted was just to be accepted and that dragon accepted him for who he was and you're trying to take that away from him by forcing him to kill it? do you really think that is the right move to make? forcing him to kill someone he cares about so much?" Gubber ask as stoick would not answer that question.

"It's the tribe or that dragon and he will choose his tribe if he wants to live and not he be sent to blood eagle and sent to Helheim," stoick explain as gubber couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"Are you that willing to kill your own son just because he befriended a dragon?" Gubber ask him but stoick had lost interest in keep talking about this conversation.

"I had enough of this, you and I both know it's best for everyone, including hiccup, it's his choice to make, you will be released within a week only because we're going to need you to keep forging weapons," stoick pointed out as gubber was the only blacksmith in the tribe who can make weapons.

"You know I really haven't forge most weapons in nearly two years because of hiccup making them and he's been doing one great job at it, my work is not as great as it used to be," gubber said as all that stoick had enough of talking and went away.

Gubber knew he was right as stoick will not emit it, without hiccup not that many weapons are going to be forged that quick or fast without hiccup help.
