The ascent was long, and nerve wracking. Six found herself feeling shaky, or trembling at many times. What was weird was that she... didn't feel scared. She was very nervous, but there wasn't any part of her that felt afraid. She had five others to help her, and keep her going. With them, Six simply didn't feel scared. In fact, a part of her felt the opposite. She felt confident, and brave enough to fight back against the cause of the infection, and protect her friends, just as they had protected her. Six felt ready. Ready to finally wake up from this little nightmare of hers.

"I can't wait to leave this place," Seven said.

Six just looked at him.

"Sorry, I just wanted to lighten the mood," he explained. "Everyone's quiet, and still, it's like someone's going to die. I thought that maybe I could talk about the positive to, y'know, make this feel less intimidating?"

"Well, I'm ready to leave this place as well," Six said. "I've been here for so long, I just want to see the sun again and not be in danger for once."

"I can relate to that," Seven said.

"Do I know you?" Six suddenly asked. "I feel like I've meet you before."

"Well... you kinda ate me," Seven said.

"Oh." Six fell silent for a while. "I'm sorry," she said.

"Well, I forgive you," Seven said, smiling.

Six smiled back. Seven and Mono would make great friends. She thought. She was no longer worried about Mono leaving her behind for a better friend. He would be everyone's friend if he could. And honestly, Six could understand why. It felt nice to have so many people by your side when things got tough. It was much better than trying to handle everything by herself. As the elevator rose to the top floor, Six took a deep breath, and put on a brave face, pushing all her worries down.

The ascent reached its end, and the elevator doors slowly revealed the vibrant orange light of the Lady's quarters. Mono, Hornet, and the knight were the first to step out, and everyone else followed. As soon as they left, it felt like every angle of the room was watching them. The sickly air of the room filled everyone's lungs, making it harder to breathe, but they kept moving forward. Six drew her shovel, and everyone else followed. As they continued through the room, the orange light slowly faded, leading the group into nothing but darkness.

In the darkness, two small orange lights shone through, casting away most of the shadows. The Lady revealed herself, no less than one foot away from the group. She looked down at each one of them, then chuckled.

"Look what we have here," she said. "A traitor, a spirit, a child, a vessel, a bag boy, and a lost spider. Is this what stands against me?"

"Silence your tounge, mask!" Hornet said, pointing her needle right to the Lady's masked face. "If you are our enemy, then face us! We have no time for your irrelevant taunts!"

"A bit impatient aren't you little spider?" The Lady chuckled. "If that's the case,"

Suddenly the entire room went pitch black. The only light left was the Lady's orange eyes, staring down at everyone.

"Why waste anymore time?" She finished.

The Lady vanished, leaving all six friends in the darkness. Six glanced all around the room. For a brief second she saw the Lady's eyes. Her laugh echoed all around them, forcing everyone to group together, and stay close. All of a sudden, a blinding light struck all of them, sending them each in different directions.

Seven POV

Seven stood up from the blast, and started looking everywhere for any signs of light, or his friends. He saw light, but not the kind he was hoping for.
