The Brotherhood has returned with new members, some which a certain Pretty Bird remembers very well.
With strained friendships, old faces, grudges and an army of criminals wanting retribution, this could be the end of Paris' superhero team?
After school, and a quick meeting with Roxanne, I went to Kagami's place, which wasn't hard to find. I was greeted by Kagami's mother, Tomoe Tsurugi. At first, she didn't seem to like me that much due to being friends with Marinette but after Lila's lies have been exposed, she allowed me to be friends with her daughter.
Kagami and I were having green leaf tea and macaroons from Marinette's parents' bakery while we talked. Eventually, I asked her why she wanted me to come to her house.
"Well, a few of us know you're a Volpe, yes?" She asked.
"Not the whole of Paris. At least not yet." I replied.
"Well, since your first alter ego is now a wanted criminal, I have a suggestion to make." She replied.
"Clear my name?" I asked sarcastically.
"That's step two. Step two is to change your alias." Kagami replied.
I furrowed my brow in confusion. What does she mean by that?
Seeing my confused expression, Kagami followed me to her room, where I saw two familiar faces.
"Max and Alix? Weren't they the ones who betrayed Marinette?" I asked.
"We were forced into betraying her. Lila threatened our families if we didn't comply. So, we had no choice but to agree to her demands." Said Max.
"After that, we didn't speak to Marinette after she said she wanted nothing to do with us anymore. Kim and Ivan offered us a place in The Brotherhood but we refused. After that, they cut us off. We never saw them again until 3 weeks ago." Alix added.
"She did the same Chloe. That's why she never spoke to us." Kagami included.
"How did you guys know about this?" I asked.
"My friend Markov recorded the phone call between an unknown caller." He said as he presented his floating robot friend.
"And why did you never used your friend earlier when Marinette was getting the short end of the stick thanks to Lie-la?" I asked with a scowl.
"Again, we were blackmailed. Same how you were blackmailed about your alter ego being exposed." Alix replied.
"Touché. So, now what?" I replied.
"For some time, Alix, Kagami and I have created another alter ego to help you find proof of your innocence. I mean La Volpe's innocence." Max said and handed me a case.
I opened the case and saw a black hooded suit with gold lining on the shoulder pads, boots and arm bracers, with black gloves and a mask covering the mouth. Underneath the suit was a lightweight Kevlar vest . Along with the suit were some shuriken, kunai, a retractable sword and a pair of nunchakus.

"Woah. You made all of this?" I asked.
"Yup. Max and Kagami made the suit while I bought the weapons with Kagami's card. With consent, of course." Alix replied.
"I don't know, guys." I said.
"I doubt you want to have La Volpe be criminalised for the rest of his life, do you?" Kagami said.
I looked at the suit and sighed.
"I need to think about it." I said as I handed the case back to Kagami, who shook her head and pushed it back to me.
"Keep the suit. Consider it a gift." She said with a smile.
"Thanks. I'll be going now." I said as I turned around to leave the room. As I was escorted to the front door, I saw Chloe about to enter a limo. She saw me and before I could call her over, she entered the limo and left.
"Guess she's still guilty about selling me out." I sighed as I made my way home.
