Mikey's POV

"Mikey! Mikey! Wake up!" Mia screamed, she roughly shoved my shoulders. I opened my eyes to a scene of catastrophe. Sunlight streaming in from the basement door and everyone running around in almost panic.

"What's happened!?" Now I'm panicking.

"Someone has taken Declan!"

"Wha- what you talking about?" I said stuttering.

"Someone has come in - silently - broke down the door and came and took Declan!"

"Brok-Broke down-Declan!" I jumped up suddenly, startling Mia, I ran towards the area Declan was sleeping where he was indeed gone.

"When did this happen!?" I yelled.

"Just-just two minutes ago!" I made a start towards the basement door when Mia grabbed my arm.

"No! No Mikey! Don't!" She yelled back.

"We can't just stand he-" Something in Mia's eyes had changed, worry, anger and love.

"We can't go after them beca...because they have guns and you are not going near them, I don't want them to hurt you..." She sounded exasperated.

"Okay... What did they look like at least?" Expecting Mia to speak, James did instead.

"It... was the same people I saw murder the little girl and her friends..."

"And, you remember that crazy man we saw whilst looking for the baby things?" Dave asked, I nodded. He continued.

"They were dressed in the same clothing as he was. You remember the lil' badge he had on his uniform?"

"I didn't notice he had a badge..." I answered.

"Well, he did, it was like a crown and underneath it was a cross."

"Which can only mean King's Cross, right?" Joe asked, I again nodded.

"I-I think we should go..." Sam said, I looked him in the eye, he looked lost; like a little puppy that lost his mother.

"I think me and Mikey should go..." I looked at Mia. Me and her? To go and do this ourselves? I love her, of course I would love to spend every waking moment with her, but, it's just so dangerous, and I don't want to put her in harms way. She stood awkwardly in front of me, legs together, arms crossed over her chest like she was cold.

"I... I don't know, Mia. It's pretty dangerous. I love you, and I don't know what I'd do if I ever let you get hurt..."

"Mikey... Please...?" Her eyes bubbled with tears, her eyes, turned a greeny colour every time she did cry. I made up my mind.

"Okay, me and you." I took her into my arms and buried my head into her shoulder taking in her sent, sweat, salt and a little sweetness blossoming out.

"Me and you." I whispered again into her ear.
