Chapter ten- Best of the best

Our alarms go off at exactly 8am. What is this? The Military? I dont even want to move my body right now. Everyone just gets up and we start preparing for our weapon and combat training. We look bored as hell but we still get ready anyway. I phone my mom to tell her everything that is happening and she is overwhelmed. I explain whats going on and ask her to promise to keep her mouth shut. She assures me that she will not tell anyone and that she wants me to call her as soon as everything is done. I cant help but feel bad because she isnt here right now and I bet shes worried. We all do our morning routines and as soon as we finish we get an alert. (Academy Council Alert): Good Morning new students. We have changed your schedules and your assistants have memorised them overnight. You will receive a map on your phone guiding you to the training room. Good luck everyone! Enjoy your day further! Well, I guess this is going to be a productive morning. I havent used my powers in a while actually. If you dont count the speed changes of my clothes, the teleporting of food, the draining of bodies etc. I have one of my special mint snacks and then take a long shower just to clear my head before training. I am still feeling a bit uneasy after the whole dream about Elijah. The fam and I have no idea what to do about it but we have agreed to ignore it until any suspicions arise in the future. *BUZZ* (Gabrielle): Hey sis! I am at your door. The boys are already at the training room Odd they normally take two hours to get ready for anything. (Gabrielle): Yes, I know its weird that they are at the session already but they seemed really excited. Plus Luke kept Junaid up all night so they had no trouble with getting out of there. Hahaha! Poor Junaid, he is most probably a miserable mess right now because Luke can be quite annoying almost every day. I open the door for Gabby and we talk on our way to training. (Cassy): The dream felt so real Gabs. I honestly do not know how to feel about it (Gabrielle): Did you talk to him about? I give her the Seriously facial expression. (Gabrielle): Sorry, stupid question. I get it (Cassy): I think I like him Gabby. You know that I dont enjoy feeling like I am in a weak position but he makes me feel that way (Gabrielle): You need to take a long blood bath and think about it, or just beat up a human until he is a boneless blood bag They both sound so good! Ill take door number two. Thank you! We get to the training room and its just breath taking. This place was truly built for people who meant business when they thought about training to truly kick ass. Theres a girl and two guys who look like they are the same age as the fam and I. Elijah walks in and stands next to me. I feel so strange being around him but I have to get rid of this feeling. It was just a dream. It was only a dream, Cassy. Relax. The new guys are a part of the Academy Student Council. (Lana): Students! Now that you are all here! Welcome! This is the training room as you have all been notified on your way here this morning or last night. Junaid whispers in Lukes ear. (Junaid): Isnt she that girl that turned you down when you asked her out a few nights ago in the cafeteria? Shes a council? Dude, you are so dumb! (Luke): I just was not her type! Thats all (Junaid): Yeah right. Not her type More like not interesting, man! Work harder for her! I mean, I would but I am taken (Luke): Juju its just that- (Cassy): Shut up! Both of you! Gabby contains her laughter as I ask Lana to continue. (Lana): Well, this is where you will learn your basic attack and combat skills and how to survive in the world of battle. You will find your strengths and you will learn how to excel in them. How to practice and practice until your bones are in jeopardy Because we plan to train you until that post-battle practice fatigue is barely a memory. Any questions? (Luke): Yes, will you be there to watch? (Lana): Just long enough to watch your weaknesses take over and give up. No need to worry though. I will be there as soon as you are bleeding and get injured because of you letting your mouth write cheques that your current strengths cannot cash Ooh, I like her. (Lana): Anything else? Luke shakes his head and we all look at him with raging laughter inside of our bodies. Lana introduces us to the two young men that are standing beside her and have been quiet all this time. Their names are Enrico and Jason. Apparently Jason is the toughest of the entire academy and Enrico is his second in command. Enrico is assigned to Gabby and Luke. Junaid, Elijah and I are going to be training with Jason. This is going to be fun. This guy thinks that he is the best. Well I love proving people wrong. Its what makes my skin glow. That and the endless blood bags. There are two sections of this training areas. One section is for Junaid, Elijah and I to train and the other one is for Gabby and Luke. We say good luck and follow our trainers to our sections. After changing into our uniforms, its battle time. More like, lets show this guy whose boss time. I watch Junaid try to fight this guy. Its truly hilarious! He throws punches, kicks, fists, knuckles, claws and all but this guy is making him look like a beginner. Thats comedy right there! Alright then! My turn! Time for some ass-kicking. (Jason): Nice to meet you Cassy (Cassy): Well see about that in just a minute He smirks and we get into fighting position. I start battling and I have never felt more alive. I spin around and use my werewolf claws to rip through his shirt. Then use my witch skills to defend myself and attack him in a selfish and show off way, just as I like it. Just as I am about to jump and snap his neck, he grabs me and pins my hands and legs to the ground, then whispers in my ear out of breath. (Jason): The female best of the best, meet the male best of the best. Youre good (Cassy): Oh I am the best of the best love After training for seven hours, Lana announces that we are allowed to go back to our suites. I talk to Jason after a good ass-kicking and then I pin him down to the ground. And whisper in his ear. (Cassy): That shirt of yours is hideous keep it that way, think of it as a custom-made work of art done by the best of the best Elijah turned blood red almost immediately. What is his problem? I am really good at showing my skills, is that a bad thing? Once we all get to our dorms I washed and everything then relax in bed until I see a text on my phone, its from Elijah. Training made my blood freeze over Uh-oh
